i havent really heard black aria II yet. cant really find a free listen on the internet and i dont wanna buy it yet. bc all ive heard about it is disappointment as compared to BA I. like, everything ive read says it sucks. but i think BA I is beautifully done. its amazing. and the shitty/corny/cheesy/lame/not creative cover art doesnt really interest me to buy it either. but the cover art for BA I was awesome. i dont know. is BA II really THAT bad?

It's actually amazing, WAY better than the simplistic orchestrations on BA.

This time round it's creepy soundscapes with a middle eastern flavor. You're missing out. Don't take someone else's word for it.

actually, i bought it about two months back.

i like it.

its kinda lame when you listen to it at any random time, but it's an atmospheric record to me.

the feeling of it depends on the atmosphere of my current time and place.

when im just chilling in the dark in my room, the album as FANTASTIC.

but i personally prefer BA because i think the music is more beautiful and i like the imagery i get when i close my eyes and listen as the story of paradise lost goes through my head with the cd.

Listen to "Shiddin" as you are rolling through Iraq and it hits you hard, but yes some of the other songs do become quite repetative and a bit annoying as you mentioned, can't wait for the lost tracks to hit the stores!

i listened to that album. its annoyingly repetitive and each song seems to go nowhere. at least with black aria you had some semblance of a beginning, middle, and end. but you're probably right. with a lot of danzig's new work, it requires a couple listens to get into. not like the old danzig, where one listen was enough to know it rocked.
