now that i am older and wiser, i've worn down my interests into hardcore/anarcho punk and thrash/crossover.

that said, the subhumans are one of the hardest, most intelligent, most mature..not only punk bands, but independant rock groups in the past 30 years.

I'm not denying there's some element of "mainstream" punk like the bands you mentioned in today's scene but there's still a thriving underground scene of punk bands like Monster Squad, Restarts, Mouth Sewn Shut, Star Fucking Hipsters, Copyright Chaos... you just have to know where to look for it. And if you ask me, I'd prefer it to be that way. Better if it's more exclusive.
