@witchking008 Yeah it does, it also depends a lot of the top, if it is solid or not. Most are Sitka spruce, though there are cedar. Also, please don't buy a kit, those just are not that great. A lot of guitars are now half plastic, they call it HPL, avoid these.

@camman1056 practice. i started playing 2 weeks ago and ive improved alot by practicing at least an hour a day. I suggest watching the DVD version of "Guitar for dummies". Also, practice the chords over and over in isolation. When you got that down, try changing between them to improve your finger agility. Look up lots of videos, especially those explaining technique, it's important. You'll get frustrated, but dont let it get to you. Keep going and goodluck! :)

@olonano12 Practice. Muscle memory takes time, and until you develop it, you'll naturally hit chords wrong. It happens. Play through it, and next time that difficult chord comes around, focus! Personally, I have a lot of trouble with the D chord. I don't know why.
