Ya know... This is the very first time I've ever heard the Japanese version of the intro. It's a nice tune. HOWEVER =D... And this is not because I'm biased, but for some reason, I'll always enjoy the generic techno styled instrumentals for the American versions more. Their sound really fit the vibe of the game and the action of the anime introductions. Furthermoar, their electronic sound, really captures the essence of the cutting edge robotic nature of series in general, especially for MM8. =)

I think the reason is because he died twice in the X series and while he was imprisoned, his body analyzed that the cores were no longer present and destroyed the containers.

Usually I like the Japanese openings better, buuuut I think I'm gonna have to go with the American version here. xD This is okay, I guess, but in the American version the music is very lively and the melody matches each scene in the intro. Like when Colonel and Zero clash swords, the music instantly changes to match the mood...This Japanese version seems as if it were put together quickly.
@JetDrumma I strongly disagree with this. I love this Japanese version 100 times more than the American version. This sounds a lot more dramatic and adds to the story. I remember the first time I saw this, I was like "Holy shit," this is really awesome! Rockman X4 > Megaman X4.

My iPod is 90% Japanese music, and I like the song used in this intro, but the the song just doesn't go with the actual intro vid. I think that the U.S. hard rocking track captures the look and feel of this animation better. It really seems to set the attitude for a couple of heroes who have been through a lot and are still top notch, respected fighters in their world.

Look it up anywhere. It'll say that X6 was rushed to production. Inafune wanted the X series to end at 5 so he could start on Zero. His son said WELL LETS GO DO SOMETHING and that something was a shitty hard rushed X game. Nowhere does it say that about the armors. Also, i would expect that, since everything else comes first. gameplay leves, etc. itels like armors come last.
also, Rushed or not, (it was) It is still a great game. I LOVE the challenge it brings. Plus its the ONLY game to keep the Japanese voice overs and original intro and credits music, so it gets props for that. Gate was also probably one of the best villains and characters in the X series. In just ONE game, he managed to get so fleshed out...
The levels were, and still are, insanely fucking hard, and the addition of the new game COMPLETELY fucked the storyline up.
Now onto your next shitspeak, the classic series were in no way rushed.
The only reason he hasn't finished it yet is because they can still cash in on the classic series. But now there will probably not be a proper finish to the classic series because Inafune left.
How is that rushed...? Megaman is just the kind of series that doesnt need a game to "end it". we all know how it ends already. Therefore, all the adventures inbetween can still be told, kiddo.

Ehhh... It's okay I guess but, it seems too soft and nice, like a syndicated soap opera for preteens or something.
I think that the U.S. hard rocking track captures the look and feel of this animation better. It really seems to set the attitude for a couple of heroes who have been through a lot and are still top notch, respected fighters in their world.

@scureton07 thats cuz they made the american version's song FOR the game. in the Japanese versions, seems obvious that the video was made after the song and not necessarily thinking of it. U gotta consider that that makes the job a lot harder.

IMO the song in american version is just a replacement to avoid confusion among american gamers(as japanese songs & anime were not common in US back then).this one is the original(what capcom intended it to be).

Look it up anywhere. It'll say that X6 was rushed to production. Inafune wanted the X series to end at 5 so he could start on Zero. His son said WELL LETS GO DO SOMETHING and that something was a shitty hard rushed X game. If you knew anything about anything you'll know that the fucking armors weren't even put in until a month before release.

Nowhere does it say that about the armors. Also, i would expect that, since everything else comes first. gameplay leves, etc. itels like armors come last.
also, Rushed or not, (it was) It is still a great game. I LOVE the challenge it brings. Plus its the ONLY game to keep the Japanese voice overs and original intro and credits music, so it gets props for that. Gate was also probably one of the best villains and characters in the X series. In just ONE game, he managed to get so fleshed out...

One of the betas that was released about a month or 2 before the final didn't have any trace of the armors in them.
And the only reason it had the original names, songs, and voice actors was because it was rushed overseas. Also explains the translation errors.

The levels were, and still are, insanely fucking hard, and the addition of the new game COMPLETELY fucked the storyline up.
Now onto your next shitspeak, the classic series were in no way rushed.
The only reason he hasn't finished it yet is because they can still cash in on the classic series. But now there will probably not be a proper finish to the classic series because Inafune left.
