  • Wish I had known about this at the BSO -- I would have went! Bring it back soon! :-)

Great little information piece from Ms. Alsop!

Did Chaplin write ALL the music in the early films? Or just some of it?

  • I just got back from seeing this at the BSO, i enjoyed the music, but found the movie rather boring

    then again i am 17

  • I am 26)

The movie was rather touchy... Cute.

  • well, i found the humor to be rather childish. I dont really understand the pleasure that a hall of 5,000 elderly wealthy people, find from 90 minutes of charlie chaplin bumping into walls and falling down all the time. The physical humor does not really appeal to me. It did once upon a time though; when I was 7 years old.

  • I think the whole story is more about love and hope, rather than the silly humor.

And Meyerhoff has no more than 2800 seats, I think.

Anyway, it is wonderful that you've visited and enjoyed the orchestra. I love it so much I come almost to every concert.

This City Lights was one of a kind; really. Where else can you watch a movie and listen to the symphony playing LIVE?

  • Youre a moron! Chaplin is the quintessential artist. He wrote, directed, acted and composed the music to his movies.

  • Moron? Maybe just another kid of this generation who doesn't appreciate this movie. I enjoyed the Great Dictator.
