This brought tears to my eyes and I can't even tell you why. It's out of joy and happiness brought by this music and it's something about missing a legend while listening to a composition that brings serenity to me.
@beasst94 Sadly they are no longer with us anymore. Hambro died a few years ago after complications from a fall aged 86, and Victor Borge in his sleep on Christmas Eve around 2000 ( needs clarifiaction on exact year )
As I commented on this video 2 years ago, thank you again for posting this wonderful video on YouTube. Leonid Hambro was a wonderful and warm person and it shows even in this brief video. I was introduced to him by Edward Jablonski (Hambro was the first pianist to record Gershwin's published song transcriptions) and I was lucky to experience his kindness first hand.
He would have been a big hit also on the Muppet Show! I see he was there, just haven't seen the video yet. They couldn't have overlooked him!
Makes me laugh with happiness! I got to see and hear him live in Las Vegas. I think you can tell from his smile lines that he was a good and happy person and loved giving enjoyment and laughter. The world can hardly have too many of those.
