  • This brought tears to my eyes and I can't even tell you why. It's out of joy and happiness brought by this music and it's something about missing a legend while listening to a composition that brings serenity to me.

  • Friendship, respect, class and love for life and work..: everyone have to learn from two MEN. World goes on better... A tear of shine for you!

  • No one can do this like these two can.

  • Class apart

  • It's weird to see pianists, who always seem very serious, so...playful. xDD

  • Chuck Norris only plays Steinway.

  • That was funny

  • Victor Borge derived his part from a waltz in the Opera Faust.

  • And just imagine...Chopin composed and played that with his own two hands...Amazing.

  • Amazing, simply amazing. The turning around with the stool made Leonid laugh, you could tell they were having a lot of fun with this.

  • Chopin is spinning in his grave. Mostly cause he thought this was cool and he's totally trying that stool trick right now.

  • God bless Chopin

  • Nice key change at 2:20

  • "you play 30 seconds, and then I play 30 seconds, and that way, we together can play the minute waltz" xD 0:41 Gotta love it

  • Leonid Hambro a wonderful man & pianist.

  • I Like this soooo much!

  • Que artistas más completos!! Es un placer verles y escucharles, gracias por este video!!

  • One may play 30 seconds, while the other plays 30 seconds to play the minute waltz...but it took them 2 minutes to play it, lol.

  • @GameAce6 So... they each decided they could play the full minute.

  • 24 people missed the like button. or have no taste.

  • @bondottoson well dont be like that altough i liked the music 24 people tought that showing their idea is not so bad as the other 1825 people

  • Chuck Norris can't do that.

  • @nicolasdelariva No, but he could throw the piano at you if you say that again

  • @nicolasdelariva AGREEED.

  • @nicolasdelariva Of course Chuck can't do that, he doesn't have culture.

  • @clarification007 Hey, Chuck Norris has culture. But he can't play piano in that way.

  • @nicolasdelariva -- Of course these were your last words... RIP..

  • @nicolasdelariva who's that

  • Love the face at 2:45

  • hey remember me? ;)

anyway I uplaoded a video of me playing minute waltz click my name to see it :)

  • super...

  • Victor Borge, you and your amazing piano skills and wonderful facial expressions will be missed dearly. Good bye friend.

  • who in their right minds would dislike this song?

  • @freedom721

Maybe in some country, thumb down means 'like very much; XD

  • @mengwmx actually in some countries, thumbs up is the equivalent of giving the middle finger, so... that may explain it

  • @freedom721 who was just looking for the original version (without 2nd piano [without Borge])

  • What a performance!!! Great music legends :)

  • They are really "Playing" and "Enjoying" music.

I hope one day I can like them.

  • fantaaaaastiiiiiciiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii :D

  • It would be hard pressed to find anything by Victor Borge I don't like! What a genius :)

  • He would have been a big hit also on the Muppet Show! I see he was there, just haven't seen the video yet. They couldn't have overlooked him!

Makes me laugh with happiness! I got to see and hear him live in Las Vegas. I think you can tell from his smile lines that he was a good and happy person and loved giving enjoyment and laughter. The world can hardly have too many of those.

    Thank you for posting!!

  • not only is he funny...but you notice they are both playing from memory?

  • This really is so funny and yet soooo moving that I want to cry too.

  • The waltz want origanally called "The minute waltz" - it was "Valse au petit chien

  • Who could dislike this? :O

  • @thalbergmad

..the ignorant and/or jealous stupid heads who is probably also deaf..

  • @n0m0reg0ingback Agreed. (:

  • True maestros <3

  • That's beautiful. It's still coherent because the chordal changes line up! How clever of them.

  • Would be so delightful to meet chopin and hear him play Minute waltz, if there is a pianist who can play it in 1 min, it was him ^

  • @Browniesisgood How do you know? You have a recording of Chopin playing?

  • @abmsghost I dont know that. But im sure he could. Dont be ignorant

  • @Browniesisgood dear, just because it was named Minute Waltz, doesn't mean it has to be playd in 1 minute..^^'

    ..anyway, I guess you're right..^^

  • @n0m0reg0ingback How do you know ? ^^

  • @blessedhomosapiens I doubt Chopin would be smiling he was known for being a egocentric self-centered jerk who appreciated noones work but his own in anyway:P

  • Is there anyone cuter than these two? AWWWWWWWWW!

  • how can anybody not like this? this is amazing and entertaining at the same time

  • I just read a short biography on Victor. Brings tears to my eyes while I chuckle.

It said he never told a dirty joke, said a foul word or used insult.

He was so great, such a gift to all who are lucky enough to appreciate him.

    I love him.

    Thank you dear Victor.

    We miss you

  • very nice i like it :)

  • 23 dislikes,23 music haters

  • pure joy,,,,yes, i doubt we can see like them again or anytime soon....

  • Only Victor Borge could have two people playing two halves of the Minute Waltz at the same time and have it run twice as long!

    Very enjoyable!

  • Someone needs to transcribe th 2nd piano part!

  • bahahahahahah when they change pianos! love it <3

  • This guy is great!!!!

  • now this took talent, and the sheer joy of playing music

  • Now this is class. I love it.

  • whoa. I love these two happy old men and the music : )

they look so joyful while playing ^^

  • Excellent performance!!! Really entertaining....

  • yhu do noe that a lot of metal and heavy metal musicians have some type of classical background knowledge and some even get their inspirations from tere

  • @shows321

This is true. Many of the 'older' rock stars in particular were classically trained. Without that training the would have burned out, in terms of inspiration. Equally there are some superb musicians that cannot read a note of music.

  • Although most people my age don't even think of listening to any piano or classical or opera, I do and I enjoy every note and the amazing talented geniuses that perform these amazing pieces of art.

Ps. Just because u see a young long haired metal head with skulls and pentagrams in thier shirts. Doesn't mean we or some of us don't appreciate the real music. I love classical. But I adore the heavyness and talented people of my music.

  • Simply Brilliant!

  • BRAVOO!!!

  • bravo!

  • His hand his totally still when he does that trill.

  • Victor Borge was a genius.

  • the man was a pure charmth

  • genius !!

  • It need a lots of contration to play like that. But, :)

  • I had tickets to his performance in Sydney and then he passed away weeks before. Borge's been a fan of mine all my life.

  • nice :)

  • @dukefan24112 ur grandpa must be blessed and godly.... wow..haha nice! :D

  • @dukefan24112 - you are descended from hands that have touched greatness.

  • @dukefan24112, I did too, being a former concert piano technician. I worked with both artists at different times. Both were just so very kindly, considerate and gentle with all others. I miss those days and those artists now.

  • @dukefan24112 Serious that awesome

  • @dukefan24112 you have the coolest grandpa evar >___<!!!!

  • anyone knows what piece is victor playing?

  • @joelcjj The Minute Waltz

  • @Bo2099 Leonid Hambro is playing the minute waltz, but victor is playing annother piece, isnt he?

  • @joelcjj no, the minute waltz, just out of sync with the other guy.

  • @joelcjj the minute waltz

  • he is adding to the minute waltz, filling in chords and such, making it sound very impressive, not that the minute waltz isn't already impressive.

  • @joelcjj

THEY'RE BOTH PLAYING THE MINUTE WALTZ

only this version is the version for 2 pianos :)

  • how much fun is this!

  • I`ve been priveledged ot have seen Victor Borge perform in three different countries through out my life. He was without doubt a genius in his own right and brought so much joy and laughter into so many homes , concert venues and charity functions . We saw him on his last performance here in Perth Australia just a few months before he was due to return for another capacity filled hall. Then we heard the tragic news on the radio and TV that he had passed away in his sleep on Christmas Eve .

  • When Borge looks up smiling like a kid -- at 2:45 you cna hear a wave of delight ripple through the audience. So charming and warm. Makes me cry every time I watch this.

  • Perfection :))

  • amazing!

  • Marvelous!
