As an investigator 29 years ago I read several of Pres. Benson's books. I was so impressed that a church would teach such profound principles! What a disappointment it was to learn that these principles were not widely supported by the membership. What a tragedy that the Priesthood is still largely asleep and missing the great opportunity to be valiant in the cause of liberty and defending our divinely inspired Constitution.

This is an awesome video man. I am using some of these quotes in a talk tomorrow. I care what God thinks of me not what what men do. I dont care who it makes mad. They can open up their scriptures and find things 100 times harsher to their sensibilities than these quotes. Missionary work is number 1 preached topic from the leaders and I have never found a better oppurtunity to share the gospel than with those that are fighting by my side for constitutional government. We are not worthy anymore to hear such a buetiful messages like this one. This message has more revelency today than it did 43 years ago for those with ears to hear. I think you are the one that needs to "look at what current leaders are saying." Put on your "spiritual ears" this is more relevant now than it ever has been. Presidents McKay and Benson spoke of this for a very long period. If the mouthpiece of the Lord is ignored it is no different than ignoring the Lord himself. We had our chance to hear these things spoken plainly. Now it is apparent to those with eyes to see and ears to hear. The message has not changed, have. "We are a war like people."

The focus may have changed, but these teachings haven't. If the focus has changed, it is because the people would not listen. However, I think we are still being taught. I was in a meeting last week at BYU Women's Conference, and L.Tom Perry said that everyone needs to know that this country was founded as a Christian nation, and that we needed to know the teachings of the founding fathers. How about Boyd K. Packer Oct. 2008? Read the speech he based his talk on if you want a revelation.

Good grief! Talk about someone out of line with the Gospel. This message is more relevant than it was when it was first given. Our Constitution is being ripped to shreds. Big government is walking all over us, and freedom of speech is being taken away from us. The present administration is a threat to all freedoms of religious and conservative people, and I think this demonstration of ignorance of our present situation is a good example of what is happening to us.
