i am really glad u posted this because i have the same scooter and the small gear thats connected to the battery just grinded out on mine. I think I am going to add a chain like you did because I cant find just the gears and I dont want to buy a brand new motor but I have to ask did you have to weld the small sprocket on?
i have this same scooter im modding my to 48 or 60 volts been working on scooter since 1999 the first was a currie scootee. why did you change the direct drive to a sprocket?
Where did you get that seat from, or is it a center console modified to fit. Please Assist!
I just got a iZip 500 Silver(used, the charger doesnt work, they left everything out in the rain)for the children and I broke it down to modify it. I'm looking for ideas.
I have installed a red LED in the rear, and installing a led in the front.
I would really like to convert my scooter to a chain drive setup. I have the stealth S1000. Can you give me any direction on this? I would be really grateful!! If you have the parts to convert that would be even better!
@xboxluva22 What the battery pack or scooter? If you're talking about the battery pack, just buy a replacement one from Schwinn. I wouldn't throw away a whole scooter just because of the batteries. But, if you are looking for a new scooter, you should look into the Go-Ped ESR or I-ped
I used a sawzaw to cut the motor from the gearbox. I used a .5" i.d drive sprocket. The output shaft is a little smaller than a .5" so I added a 3rd set screw to get the sprocket to centered. I also needed to grind 3 flat spots on the shaft for the set screws.

Hi, Do you still have this scooter? I would love the measurements and pics that you used to convert and would pay for them.

Is it possible to crack open the gear drive and just replace the gears inside it instead of doing a chain drive?

I ordered the drive sprocket from tnc scooters
