If you did any research, you would know that the largest oil sands operation mining the McMurray formation has occupied only one percent of one percent of the forest. That's 0.01%. Also, by law the land must be retuned to a state as good or better than it was undisturbed. Mining companies are required to put the cost of reclamation into a government trust BEFORE any mining commences so that no matter what happens, the cost of
