I don't understand people who use final scratch or Serato. I play vinyl because of the superior sound.  If i am forced to MP3 I use my CDJs. Why put wear n tear or ur needles when you don't need to. With Serato you sacrifice the of sound the vinyl without gaining any advantages of MP3 CD djing IE master tempo (unless the mixer supports that) seamless looping.

You can actually spin much much faster with serato then you can with vinyl or cd's. On top of that, all you need is your laptop. No shuffling through vinyl....that includes CD's. As far as the sound quality....I've heard dj's getting down at clubs with serato and u could never tell the difference

What do you mean much faster? You mean going through tracks faster? CDjs can remember cue points even after you eject the CD and the unit turned off. They also have cables where they can share cue point info with eachother. What would happen if you laptop crashes? Your dead in the water. I can totally tell the difference vinyl feels much warmer. I love using computer for alot of things I am IT pro. If you wanna take the laptop route you should look into Ableton Live.
