I think you need to change the batteries in your smoke alarm. I am trying to save you life, there is a beep at about the two minute mark then again at the four minute mark.

Very cool! The big, white original Kindle box was fun to open, but the black box looks rather elegant and the compactness of this new arrangement would definitely have its advantages, especially from an inventory/shipping standpoint. I am trying very hard not to upgrade to the new Kindle, but my resistance is slipping, especially now that I've seen it here. Enjoy yours. It's a beauty!

I appreciate your concern, but that's not a beep, but instead a squawk from my parrot who was getting lonely.
I did coincidentally change my smoke alarm batteries just a week ago. :-)
