This and Pokemon have nothing in common. This game crushes Pokemon as far as im concerned. Most real gamers would say the same. You know..the ones that dont use nerd lingo like "epic" "n00b" "fail" and all the new faggot talk.
This game was difficult, well, in terms of RPG, it was to me. I think mainly because some bosses were just fuck hard (see Rose Tank in the past) but when you get ahold of it, it's quite a fun little game.

wow...this came out first but pokemon beat this so bad...this lasted what... a few years? pokemon is still going strong, besides there are a lot of 16 bit rpg that look EXACTLY like this nothing was stolen or copyrighted...
Robotrek is one of the few Enix games with music by Yuzo Koshiro; the others were ActRaiser 1 & 2 (both on SNES) and the obscure Misty Blue (PC-88, Japan only).
I have beaten this robot RPG game many years ago and I'm glad I did. The music is by Yuzo Koshiro too if I'm not wrong but this is not one of his best compositions.
Why can't they make a new version of this on ds or wii? Im sick of the plain old guy with giant sword games. :(

@Soushkin Yeah, this was one of the best non-squaresoft related games back then. Final Fantasy ruled rpgs but this game was soooo much fun.

Haha the music even slightly resembles a Pokémon tune from Ruby/Sapphire. Also the graphics are very similar.

The music is comparable to Car Battler Joe, (a GBA car-combat RPG) also developed by Yuzo Koshiro's company Ancient and published by Natsume.
