From what I've heard, the photo is nothing to do with the wave. The mountain in the back is 富士山 (Mt.Fuji), and that's the focus. Part of the 'Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji'.
The documentary is part of the BBCseries The Private Lives of Masterpieces. I bought it recently for about 60 pounds @ the HMV, but I've seen it at other shops too (only more expensive).
@geomayin Hi I don't think you can get this commercially as it was made by the BBC specifically for television... Unfortunately I no longer have it on my hdd recorder else I could of run you off a copy on DVD.
@geomayin You can get DVD's specifically made of almost any program (radio or tv) directly from the BBC if you ask, however they charge a fortune (usually hundreds of pounds) so probably only worth it for academic or business uses.

would you consider to upload it on water-wheel[dot]net
a new online platform focusing on water as a theme and metaphor. Launch on 22 August 2011, but uploading is already possible! cheers

I feel quite lucky, I've seen original works of Hokusai where I live and I'm from Ireland.
