I watched this movie yesterday and it was phenomenal. i loved it and i remember actually getting chills and goosebumps throughout the movie...natalie portman was absolutely amazing. the whole cast was.

Can't compare Cronenberg to this guy. "The Berg" has a repertoire of great films. Aronofsky...not so much. Pi was great, Requiem For A Dream was a bunch of anti-drug bullshit, and The Wrestler...garbage.

I've danced in Swan Lake. I hated it so much after a while It's a beautiful story and the music is great but the ballet itself is so boring!

But this movie looks amazing and I love Natalie Portman!

I understand that audiences are not as mature or intelligent to trully emjoy a complex character film like this one. But the Lesbian angle and the Ballet theme will bring them in, and they will be amazed & happy that they watched it.

I think it was also slightly influenced by Lynch's mulholland drive or any other lynch's : surrealism and nightmarish.. although aronofsky was not specialized in that area (his movies most of the time deals with metaphysical) but, since he was a gifted director..I CAN HARDLY WAIT TO WATCH IT!

@calciumkid85, I watched it, it reminded of Lynch's Mulholland Drive too. IT IS AMAZING!! WOW, Natalie Portman deserves an Oscar nomination for sure for this film. The filom is a personal transformation for her character that turns really insane in the role. I was watching it with a few girls behind me & I bet that they were there more for the sexual element than anything else. But they ended up screaming and scared like hell in the end. Kunis got a great future too, she does a great job too.
