not the best move, always try to have something betwen you and your suspect in this case, the first suspect, also, try not to use your strong hand for the inmovilization, cuz if your strong hand is bussy, how are you going to reach your gun??
A police officer doesn't always have the luxury to set up an encounter. When it comes to using his strong hand, that would probably be best considering you want to immobilize the suspect as quickly as possible. And using your preferred hand is more natural to do, especially when under stress.
