  • Again, blessings and peace to you, and it is indeed a wonderful hymn for a funeral. I recently officiated at my godfather's funeral mass in the Church of England, and we had this hymn and tune, as a thrilling witness to the victory of Christ over the power of death. amen, amen, until HE comes in Glory!

  • I remember fondly all the songs you sing. I was in the youth choir when I was younger. We had the Lutheran Book of Worship, the green book. Great singing and reverence.

  • thank you sweet sister. this is 1 of my very fav songs. many hugs to you. :) xoxoxoxo

oh, and yur very pretty too.

  • Greetings to you Wonderful Lutheran Lady all the way from Canada.

I am James Prophet, the vicar in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. Strangley, I have been seeking an online version of hymn 334 "O Lord, How Shall I Meet You" (v. 2-6) for a sermon I wrote and posted on facebook recently.

Would you be able to do a video of this hymn, which I could link to my sermon?

    In Christ,

    James

    1 Peter 3:15

P.S. This was the hymn I picked for confirmation. Definitely my favourite of all time. God bless you.

  • Praise God Almighty!! Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

  • Love this hymn. I already have it planned to be played as the opening hymn at my funeral service..as the casket is brought into the church for the last time. Lift high the cross.....the love of Christ proclaim!

  • @bat3606 I couldn't think of a more appropriate hymn to be sung. The victory will be yours, in Christ!
