No... 7.5 is about right, considering how horrid the controls are on consoles. They did absolutely no refining for the game to console to play more like what one expect from modern day shooters, Actually I'll go one step. They just emulated the keyboard and mouse inputs onto the 360 controller and said "ok, done". There is no subtle movements, it feels very stiff and very hard to get the movement you want out of it. Avoid this game and get it for the PC, it's worth the extra $5.
if so than you're kinda missing the point, the game he was really talking about was a boiled down version, so play the PC game on mute and you'll see what they're talking about.
although IGN reviews (IGNorant) reviews are usually wrong anyway so yeah theo original is probably awesome but this new console download version is probably not as good.

Yeah was good back then, and apparently better than this re-release. Realise that they're critizing it for how it didn't come across well now as a new release. You could probably get the original copy cheaper for the PC instead of paying the price for this version and have a better quality experience.

Still, the games share very few similarities with real war. I don't think you should base your knowlage off of them. Real war isn't so cinematic.

No... 7.5 is about right, considering how horrid the controls are on consoles. They did absolutely no refining for the game to console to play more like what one expect from modern day shooters, Actually I'll go one step. They just emulated the keyboard and mouse inputs onto the 360 controller and said "ok, done". There is no subtle movements, it feels very stiff and very hard to get the movement you want out of it. Avoid this game and get it for the PC, it's worth the extra $5.

So you played the PC version?
if so than you're kinda missing the point, the game he was really talking about was a boiled down version, so play the PC game on mute and you'll see what they're talking about.
although IGN reviews (IGNorant) reviews are usually wrong anyway so yeah theo original is probably awesome but this new console download version is probably not as good.

I totally agree with him, this was my very first video game EVER!
the mission on the Eder Dam really scared me because your all alone and took me a whole week to complete that mission.
But after all what IGN had to say that the game had a poor AI could have been expected from a 7 year old game.
I went from CoD to BiA to CoD again.
But Brothers in Arms showed me an other kind of war, a war about feelings not about killing german soldiers.

Yeah was good back then, and apparently better than this re-release. Realise that they're critizing it for how it didn't come across well now as a new release. You could probably get the original copy cheaper for the PC instead of paying the price for this version and have a better quality experience.

I kind of agree with IGN on this. Some things were probably made the way they were to keep the game more like the origional, and not like MW2. Though I do agre with powner552.
Still, the games share very few similarities with real war. I don't think you should base your knowlage off of them. Real war isn't so cinematic.
