  • "Everyone must have their own principles" "If you're not free then your a slave"

I love it when talking points bunch up like that.

  • Stef, if you read this, youtube: "Emergence: where science meets philosophy". Fun stuff.

  • 1:07:47 LOL

  • 15:20 Of course it´s NOT self sacrifice Stef, if it would you wouldn´t have done it.

  • In James' favour:

At one point he mentioned "permission" (then lost it) but had he stuck with that, he had actually touched on something that could be argued with logical consistency.

If I want to do something to you, I need your permission (or assumed permission) or I don't have the right. Ergo I don't have the right to stab you.

Surviving is not an act upon another person and therefore does not require permission and that is why we automatically have the right to live.

    Right James?

  • You are given rights by others around you.

Rights are legal and social contracts that we abide by.

If others take "rights" away they have their rights away. In some cases.

Rights are morals and written into law.

If marshal law where decrared your rights would mean nothing.

Our governments are ment to PRESERVE our rights or morals. When you VOTE you vote for public officials that define our RIGHTS by the laws and the morals they preserve.

  • a right is a claim to legitimate ownership.

  • So it's asking for something?

  • Maybe "claim" is the wrong word, lol. I always thought that it meant asserting something, but you're right. i just looked it up in the dictionary and it means asking for something.

Maybe a "title" of ownership would be more accurate. What i mean is that it is legitimate ownership of something.

  • Yes you can. We live in this messed up system, and those programs are paid for with money taken from us against our will. Feel free to take advantage of these programs as they were paid for with your money anyway.

  • I want to live in the woods! As long as I can have internet access.

  • that brummie seems incapable of expressing himself. heard him a couple of times

  • Stef's so far ahead, tech will have to catch up with him! The "rights" issue is and was one of those brain farc's that we are implanted with, by The State n Family. Kudos to the Stef, for grappeling with this. There are no rights, only actions.

  • lots of lag between picture and sound, not your best post stef.

  • 0:43:00 - flibberty jibbet: a north west England name for someone who is flashy and female, flaunting sexually.

  • How strange - I was just thinking about that term "flibberty jibbet" from Joe Vs. The Volcano. The ditsy sister (artist one) refers to herself as one. I always thought it quaint. lol Odd to see it the very next day in a comment section. weird.

  • Perhaps more apt might be the expression-"jail-bait"! Tis progess(?) nowadays if you flib around these days, you don't end up in a gibbert,(gallows)!

  • flibbertigibbet:

a frivolous, flighty, or excessively talkative person.

  • Obama is "The Hopey Changey Fairy". Sounds like a merchandising opportunity for a doll and plastic activity set.

  • What is up with the rude attitude towards Jan Helfeld?

  • I think it was Jan Heltfeld who was rather rude for calling in and trying to interject in a call in show to ask questions that he didn't get a chance to ask in a debate that was already over. And then he went on to solicit his show and telling people to call him afterwards. Finally he says, 'can I ask a question?' and he ends up talking about how he's all hurt about a debate that he himself was snarky and condescending in.

  • Perhaps he should not have been promoting his show when calling in. But I clearly remember that he repeatedly mentioned his fear that a debate would be damaging the good spirit between him and Stef. He was also very clear about his intentions on being a bit rude when debating and that Stef should accept this if he wanted the debate. Jan clearly had experienced this before and did not want it to happen again, but it did. Perhaps there is a good reason which is why I asked.

  • What are your thoughts on the Canadian healthcare system? All I ever hear about it is absolute fawning and I haven't really seen any evidence of the opposite.

  • just recently called me. Yes, a perfect example of government efficiency. They seemed so excited that their funding was increasing, while the private sector is shrinking at an alarming rate. While they were explaining the nature of the position they also mentioned that Homeland Security is stationed directly below my would-be office. So I turned down that very high paying job and took an extreme pay cut making pasta for a small family business. I'm broke lol but I'm happy. It can be done.

  • Well I tried to post my comment before, but Youtube didn't seem to want to post it. Let me try again lol. I just had a similar experience to the first caller. I was offered a position at a Naval Post Graduate School working in their library classifying top secret military documents. What's worse is my office would have been located in a secure military vault LOL. No joke. I had applied for the position almost a year ago (before I transitioned from minarchism to free market anarchism) and they...
