  • @Tomonsterboy1 As it says, from 1970...For this release the backing track of the September 1968 recording of "The 31st Of February" was used. The version with Gregg Allman's vocals was not released until 1972 on the album "Duane & Greg Allman". Gregg Allman's vocals were replaced by Steve Alaimo's vocals and strings were added. On the label of this vinyl single Steve Alaimo is mentioned as the sole composer of "Melissa", although this song was co-composed by Gregg Allman and Steve Alaimo...
