Don't know much about buildings, school names, etc., you know I'm a just a regular Canadian traveler... on 4 wheels... and I really LOVE the southern US.
Have seen all 48 states, on 4 wheels as well, in about 10 years...
Maybe one day, with God's blessing, Alaska by car and of course the Aloha State

I LOVE South Padre Island, that's the only reason I drive to Brownsville, plus No Habla Espanol, No Senor, Ningun Espanol a Canada!!! LOL
Everybody turns its back when they hear you speak English-only!!! They hardly speak any English in that area, from El Paso all the way to Brownsville!
If you speak English-only in that area, well, people look at you as you don't belong there, I remember 3 years ago I had a hard time finding a store in El Paso where to buy little gifts (like shot glasses) with El Paso, TX marked on the gift, or t-shirts with El Paso, almost impossible to find such thing, but everything with MEXICAN Flag... anywhere, everywhere, also local people did not like it when I was asking for TEXAS gifts and NOT Mexican gifts... end of story!
