  • norris kneells b4eastwood navy sherriffvs80tyscheapkungfu rip norris.

  • i think this is one of the best versions from this song

  • only 2.5 million?! this video deserves a LOT more!!!!

  • I can see how people think its chuck norris but no its Clint Eastwood.

  • On January 9th 1961 The Ramrods' "(Ghost) Riders In The Sky" entered Billboard's Hot Top 100; it peaked at #30 and spent 9 weeks in the Top 100.

Vaughn Monroe's version was the most successful; on May 14th 1949 it reached #1 and stayed in the top spot for 11 weeks...

Other charted versions were; Burl Ives {#21 in 1949 & the original version}, Bing Crosby {#14 in 1949}, Peggy Lee {#2 in 1949}, Lawrence Welk {#87 in 1961}, The Baja Marimba Band {#52 in 1966}, and The Outlaws {#31 in 1961}...

  • 1:51 i THINK THIS IS CHUCK NORRIS !

  • I swear I saw Chuck Norris

  • SPECTACULAR!!!!! Thanks for all your work in bringing the song to life! :-))

  • NICE VID !

    JOB WELL DONE !

  • Great version by a great New England group(Conn). Also many other great versions both vocally and inst. Duane Eddy, Dick Dale, the Blues Brothers, Marty Robbins, Johnny Cash etc. Originally wrtiien fo and recorded by Burl Ives and the in A movie called Ghost Riders with Gene Autry. Genes is my favorite vocal and my favorite Inst is by the greatly underrated group from Britain THE SHADOWS.

  • i played this through my guitar amp and cranked the bass up as high as it would go, and i nearly broke the windows.......

  • Although I liked the Shadows version this is so much more atmospheric. I still have the original 45. I remember seeing a film in the late 50's, just a boy, where this tune was the main theme.Memory not gone YET!

  • WEW!.. YHHAAA!! WeeeeeeoooOOO

  • Very COOL video, very CREATIVE. Liked the Eastwood touch.

    ZGR

  • TA ONE OF THEM ME

    YELLING NO NOT THE WOMAN

  • I thought the Shadows version was good, but I prefer this version.

  • Bought the single when it came out, on RCA Victor, I think. B side can't remember, but it had a sax thing going on. Cost me 5shillings and 9punce. (4 and thruppence change from a ten bob note.)

  • This is another of my lost 45s great to hear the Ramrods after all these years, thanks

    gmailvsl.

  • @darkyoda coulnt agree more

  • Lovely twingers indeed yihaa! .-)

  • nice video... was actually really well done... better than most of the videos on the youtubes, awesome.

  • so we meet again, 240p...

  • Get of mah screen!

  • Wicked.

  • Ooohhh... so this is what it would look like if Monty Python made westerns. The Cowboys Who Say "Hyah!"

  • hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiihhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • loving that dirty sax

  • LET'S RIDE!!!!!!!!!

  • I can just imagine this song playing over a slow-motion gun duel in some ghost town. Every little motion as the two people stand motionless before what seems like an eternity and they both fire. The bullets pass each other in midair and continue on to their targets, striking them down and they both fall like great statues. Their faces frozen in grim determination and knowledge of what is to come. But that's just my thought.

  • @AL52Dragon Ha Hell yeah!!!

  • One of the best instrumental bands to come out of Sydney.Used to appear at a hotel at Ashfield. they were badly managed.

  • I've heard many versions of this song, but by far this is the best one yet

  • This song should have been in Undead Redemption.

  • Good sounds and great video.

  • This song and video is flat out CREEPY! But, that's why I love it! :)

  • It took me 25 years to find this song. I heard it once on the radio, had it on a mix cassette, and lost it again...all without ever knowing the name or artist. When I heard the first notes, I knew this was the song. Thanks!

  • like see the toy dolls version

    Toy dolls ghost rider

  • This is a tribute to my biker friends and brothers. Caballeros del muerte para siempre amigos

  • lol that one at 1:14 looked like an alien

  • Great version. Great video. I wonder if anyone has noticed that the very end of this is the same as the ending of 'Apache' by The Shadows. i wonder who was copying who.

Probably the Shads copied this. I wonder when was this recorded?

  • @fidomusic

    Very good noticed of You

    Sorry, don't know the answere

  • this should of been in red dead redemption

  • @diaz0612able a couple of chords are in the chase scenes if you listen close. they are very slow

  • Shame this song didn't get included in Fallout New Vegas. It really fits with the whole "western" theme.

  • @darkyoda read my fricken mind man

  • @darkyoda its easy to make a mod for it XD

  • @darkyoda ive heard the song before new vegas but playing new cegas actually made me wanna listen to this song

  • nice

  • 5*****

  • earrey isn't it

  • This reminds me of the old days when the cowboys used to take the cattle accross the wide open plains to sold at auctions in other towns and it took days or even months to get where they were going.

  • @MsCANUCK69 yeah cause those were the days we all remember !! :| :P

  • love the video it's awsome

  • This is fantastic! Definitely get that "haunted cowboy" feel from this one. Again, excellent job!

  • that is eastwood

  • its a The Spotnicks cover!!

  • the song is beautiful thx gmailvsl

  • Absolutely bitchin' bass line.

  • What a spooky instrumental you've made this out to be. It's the video, the show being put on and tied in with all the music and background vocals/side-effects...like the moo of the steers. How they put this instrumental together is beyond me, it seems to be ahead of it's time. The video, yes the video, could only make it taunting/spooky. Anyway it was the big inst, back in the doowop era, i believe it went top 5 here in Vancouver Cda?, You can't dance but I bet its sounds great in stereo!!

  • You are right... that is Clint Eastwood

  • Nice

You ain`t gonna beat The Ramrods For this tune.
