Very cool! I really want to do this to my Eee 1000h, but wondering if it's as easy as it seems. Also, would I lose the webcam and/or any USB ports or anything else by doing this?
Its pretty easy - take your time with the mod and itll be fine (I hadnt even opened the eee before this mod). You dont loose the webcam or any USB ports - the controller plugs into the webcam port on the motherboard and the controller has a port to plug the webcam into as well as 2 spare ports for further modding (internal). The external ports are untouched.
Planning on integrating a tv tuner if I can find enough space and then a wireless receiver for a mouse. Ive already carried out the standard upgrade to 2gb ram and a 320gb 7200rpm hard drive :)
