Im wondering what exactly she's playing it on. The video isn't quite good enough to define what it could be. My guess would be either a Juno-6, JUpiter-6 or Jupiter-8. . .
This single song here changed my entire life. It put me onto the right path and of self exploration. I owe this song very much of myself and is considered to be sacred to me.
This is REALLY EXCELLENT, MrBoobou! Enya's style here is very somber and powerful, LOW, yet austere and simple. She's as a very essence, so elemental... so forthright as on a march. I gathered translated simple lyrics that supposedly go with this song: --- Living of lives Starting at the end We're with living Forever more ...(chant)... Hi-ri, Hi- s;), Hi-ri, Hoireann is Or, ho hi, s;) ha, s;) ha s;).... ~~?~~ I love her MYSTERY!
Not that anyone but me should care, but here is a crude Latin translation I came up with: "March Of The Celts THESE are loyal to the king-ra-U-O Marbh go deo. Ole ole ole, ole ole ole ole ole ole ole, ole ole ole, ole ole ole. THESE are loyal to the king-ri-U-O To bless go deo. (deo):Gaelic = deò breath, life, air, vital spark, ray of light. ~?~ I remain confused and simply full of wonder at her style and art :-)
So simple, so stark. Part of the score Enya composed & performed for BBC TV series "The Celts". Borrowed for the horror film "Sleepwalkers" written by Stephen King; and stolen by the Fugees for their rap song "Ready or Not". You know you can write original music when someone else rips it.
I am not one to visualize much... but this particular song strikes some very clear images for me. It makes me think of a fantasy/historic battle. The heroes' last stand under brooding storm clouds. The build-up is like a chase... running... and finally cornered... surrounded. There is no way out but to fight. The battle is furious... and many enemies go down before them. But in the end... they fall.... one by one. The last dropping to his/her knees impaled. Falling as the rain starts...
Just Enya humming along to her keyboard: striking theme adapted for the horror film "Sleepwalkers" and ripped by the Fugees for their rap song "Ready or Not".
