Looking forward for Guild Wars 2, persistent world woohoo!
On topic, GW is fun, so is LOTRO and WoW, play what you like best and stop trying to force your believe upon others, cause people won't even care since they play what they like (I hope they do...).
The only reason why GW has good graphics is because they did not have to design any cliffs to jump off from or water to swim or dive in or players that could meet outside the towns without some little group. This will change in GW2. Dont get me wrong, I play GW and I enjoy the game and graphics still, but I prefer lotro because it has good graphics and it is also more versatile.
i play both lotro and gw and gw you just can have 4 player party in lotro 6 but then you can have raids also in lotro with up to 24 players i think in gw you only have 5 or 6 quick skills to choose from in lotro over 20 so lotro is better

I think buying GW would be good. 1-It's not life consuming..(Not addicting like WoW) 2-It's alot of fun, has great graphics and story-line. 3-Classes can always be different depending on the combination of Secondary Professions. 4-You don't have to spend an eternity lvling, and thats not even half the game. 5-No 24 hour long instances like WoW :P The game is really fun, I'd say get the Trilogy, all three games are pretty cool.
a lot of builds in the game require skills from prophecies so i would buy the trilogy if u can or just buy 2 of the campaigns. you will need prophecies if u plan to make money farming
GW is just different than any other MMO because of the max level cap of only 20 and everything is based on SKILL, not if your level 61 fighting a 69, were you can usualy say ahead of time you will lose. WoW is based on time and how much you put in. both games have there ups and downs and one game doesnt dominate the other, i have a level 72 hunter on WoW and a 66 DK, and on guildwars ive maxed many characters and still actually get on both games.

Your argument lacks brain power, or is it just you?
1. The reason it is instanced, say when you are out of town, is so you don't have to spawn camp for quests and wait for others to get done, like on WoW, with all those dumb quests where you need to kill 10 gremlins and bring someone their butt skin or whatever.
2. Maxing level is pointless. In WoW, winning a battle is based on how high of a level you are most of the time. In Guild Wars, everything is balanced and skill-based.
I completely agree with Bryanadamsftw, Guild Wars does not have a world. When I play MMOs and I am out in the wilderness, I want to be in a world where I can come across anyone, and everything is dynamic. Leveling is a HUGE part of any MMO.
If anything Guild Wars was made for rejects who are too use to Diablo 2 and were too dissapointed when WoW was not like Diablo 2. Guild Wars is the most dumbed down MMO, and its so dumbed down its barely an MMO.
That's why it's one of the Top 5 most played, right?
And anyhow, Guild Wars 2 will be non-instanced and have a high level cap. So whiners like you that used to play GW (not saying you did) will come and play it. Free movement, etc.
Sorry byran, but you are wrong. While many aspects of what you say seem logical, that is taking the (horrible) stereotype of the MMORPG genre, and basically saying "You're not another MMORPG that seems the same as the rest!". Thats just it. Guild Wars ISN'T the same. It's different. That's why it's so popular, otherwise it would just be another Silkroad or 2moons.
dude,if u haven't played it,u can't tell if the graphics r gd or not. Also GW graphics r one of the best MMO graphics in the world(also won awards for tht).

8 player partys in PvE, you can be up too 16v16 players in AllianceBattles.
Also i dont play gw for its graphics or amount of items and etc all you other fanboys are writing about.
I play guildwars becouse of i like the feeling of the game and love its game mechanics

Gw has 6 Millions players all on the same realm + everything is instanced = Great
Wow has 12 millions players on diffenrents realms and diferrentes servers = Additionnal instance cannot be launch

I play both Lotro and GW (and sometimes WarOnline :P) And i think Lotro is the best. GW got bad graphic, low level cap and just 1 race :/

Graphics don't make a game, wow's graphics suck, but people still play it and like it. Jedi Knight's graphics sucked but people still played it.
