Just outta curiosity, how big has the Q-LACNYC been out there? Cuz from the source I've got once that trian turns into 20G on NS it's been short as shit and has dwindled down to as required running, but it looks properly portioned here in this vid. The WB counterpart Q-NYCLAC is just about as big here in the east as it is out there. Haha, guess you grabbed "one of mine" on that blacker than black lashup.
Sweeeeeet, 20/21G runs the Chillicothe. Not too long ago there was a time when your pumpkin power stayed on after the Q-LACNYC got outta your turf went east on NS, and then when they hit the cab-signalled Pittsburgh Line where I see it they'd just slap on a CR blue SD50 to take it east through the "shitleader-zone". But now you guys keep your orange widecabs that we in the east find BEAUTIFUL, and its eastern identity 20G has been drawing SHIT for power...at least by MY standards.
That's how i know a lot of the locos on the ns roster, and how i tell the difference between a dash 8 and dash 9. also, if you look in the right place, the loco model will be there, for instance, on ns and csx, it is on the cab
Wow I never knew there was a New York to LA intermodal train.

Some people know from the road numbers what a loco is.

Most railfans do , after repeativly watch trains and videoing them and look up what loco they are by the # you start to memorize it .....

Nice!!!!! But how do you tell from a ES44AC and a ES44DC?

Looks at the Trucks (Wheel configuration) ES44AC is one big mess while the DC is clean cut.
