Man I remember the old xplay. Much simpler, funnier, and laid back honest reviews. I also miss Cheat and how all of g4 was like a family. It's ok now...I guess but it lost all of it's former magic that really made it great.

And compared to the old intro, he new one is shit. :,(

The reason why they aren't the same is because gaming has changed. I remember the days of the PS2 you had all these B-list games for X-play to bash and make fun of. But when somewhere at the end of 2007 there were fewer games being released on the market. Most of the games you buy now no longer brutally suck, or are low budget. Sessler talked about it on his Soapbox "X-play's 1000th episode."

the things that made x-play different were drunk link, roadkilled puppets, canadian guy, all the interns, the announcer in the beginning that says random crap, zero budget comedy sketches with bad greenscreen effects, christmas specials, musicals, tripping out on drugs with ape scientists, bad joke telling stan lee, unnecessary glass balls on the floor, a table made of tetris blocks, adam sessler, and morgan webb...now it's just a generic game review show, which is just useless when there's IGN.

I think it's more that G4 just went down the crapper around 2006 or 2007 and started playing 23 hours worth of cops and cheaters. I lost my patience, X-play just isn't enough to safe it.With websites with screwattack, who needs it?
