  • I've never seen the first half before.

  • These guys are on ABC radio every week bloody hilarious (and talented) My car was built to rigorous standards. No sticky tape, gaffa tape, or blue tack.

  • I'm surprised that the senator is so blase about such a terrible incident. The front falling off a tanker is not to be taken lightly. I was pleased to see the action the government took however. Towing the ship outside the environment was a good idea; perhaps BP should take note and make their drilling platforms portable so that they too could be towed outside the environment quickly. The oil disaster in the Gulf could so easily have been avoided if the Australians had taken charge.

  • No cardboard derivitives.

  • @kathrynsmith724 Definitely no sellotape either mate. :D

  • No cardboard.

  • Cardboard's out.

  • funniest shit. very funny

    "Yes I did . . ."

    "What happened?"

"Well, the front fell off . . ."

  • LOL That's fucking funny, "Can you book me a cap" lol

  • its a cab no a cap

  • I don't fucking care a cap or cab sounds the same shit.

  • TO ALL THOSE WONDERING: One of the funniest men out there John Clarke - from Wikipedia:

In 1989, along with collaborator Bryan Dawe, Clarke introduced weekly mock interviews to [Australian] television... Clarke would take on the persona of a politician or prominent figure, though never attempting to imitate the voice of the subject as in traditional mimicry, and be interviewed by Dawe.

  • Thank you for the information :D

  • Who was born in New Zealand and invented a character called Fred Dagg, raw Kiwi humour from the 70s, some on youtube, have a gander, its worth it., question, if it werent for your gumboots where would you be?

  • we watched this at church, hilarious

  • Pretty trippy thing to watch at church, I reckon.

  • Why?

  • lol i love this video

  • genius ! this is a joke not real ! people are such fuckin idiots !

  • Really this man is quite well trained at avoiding a direct answer to the question. He is also very uninformed... LOL

  • Um.... yeah.

  • "well, some of em are built so the front doesn't fall off at all."

"well, wasn't this one build so the front doesn't fall off?"

    "well obviously not!"

    "how do you know?"

"Because the front fell off and 20,000 tons of crude oil spilled into the sea caught fire! it's a bit of a give away!"

on of the greatest sketches EVAR!

  • It is a spoof interview just to show how stupid politicians are.

  • hey, anyone know if this a real inteview or is it a comedy routine? in both cases is ridiculous, but just out of curiosity i'd like to know

  • hahaha theres nothin out there accept fish and birds

    and what else

and 20000 gallons of crude oil

    and

and a fire!... but theres nothing else out there hahahaha

  • "...AND the bit of ship where the front fell off"

  • "There's nothing out there. There's just birds, sea, fish..."

    "and What else"

...And 20k gallons o' crude oil."

    Great line

  • we are in the shit mate!

  • Tooo Funny rofl :))

  • The "front fell off" Clarke and Dawe sketch hit the internet in the States, and friends thought it either was written by John Cleese or was a Saturday Night Live sketch. Unfortunately, Clarke and Dawe haven't hit the States yet. Love them. Brilliant. "Not in the environment -- towed beyond the environment." Love these guys.

  • lol! This is so fucking good! Favourited!

  • I've only just seen this, this is obviously a part of some comedy show, and not actual news (as I've seen written in lots of places).

What show is this from? Because the ozzies have got political satire nailed here. I NEED this show.

  • It's just part of a news program. It's not a comedy show in its own right. Google John Clarke (bald man), he's done other things.

  • Commissioned by "The 7:30 Report" I think. They have a few other full length shows together. The Game etc

  • Clarke and Dawe's spin on the credit crunch

    watch?v=OQsBGxhbYl4

You will find the rest of their work on the same channel

    Chasers APEC Motorcade Stunt FULL

    watch?v=TdnAaQ0n5-8

  • How come your links only take one to a site advertising WATCHES????

  • How'd they know this was gonna happen?

    230 tonnes of fuel oil

    30 tonnes of other fuel

    620 tonnes ammonium nitrate

Is the official report given now for the amount of chemicals spilled on March 10th spill off the coast of South QLD. Swire Shipping CO. will be fined only $1.5 million for the disaster and had been involved in a collision killing 17 recently. Only a dozen or so workers with rakes and shovels cleaning. They have machines that could have stopped it from washing up but they didn't????

  • you're an idiot

  • yeah bring out the oil cleaning robots...

    your an idiot stickyrat

  • yes lets all try to clean up an oil spill in a cat 5 cyclone...shit happens at sea and anyway oil started its life as an ocean and this load gets to finish theirs as one too

  • "well what is the minimum crew requirement??"

    ...

    "Oh 1 I suppose!"

    wow what an idiot! lmao.

  • wake up dear - it's a comedy sketch....

  • That's like the military cadet who was asked how many pieces an artillery projectile explodes into. He replied, "Certainly no less than two."

  • Each time I see this, it cracks me up. Go, Kiwis and Aussies, go!

  • Senator - A wave hit it.

reporter - A wave hit it?

    S - A wave hit the ship!

    R - is this unusual?

S - At sea? Chance in a million

lol totally hilarious. To be honest I actually thought this was real. But seeing now that it WASN'T, a job well done! :)

  • It sounded like,a wive hit it!

  • Funniest thing on youtube. LMAO.

  • They played that "Front Fell Off" skit on my local morning radio show, and I don't think I ever heard anything that funny.

  • these two are comedians who do a satirical weekly skit, on the ABC

this is not real - and I do know as I watch them as I am from AUstralia

    john Clarke and Bryan Dawe

  • I am amazed how a country of fewer than 20 million people can produce such good stuff. I am a fan of Rob Sitch and Dr. Karl.

The team of Dawe and Clarke are carrying on a tradition of two guys playing off oneanother. I certainly hope they write their material.

If anyone likes these guys, they might like Bob and(the late)Ray. Gentle humor and funny. They are American.

  • Was this part of a comedy program? This is obviously not real.

  • Good question but seriously I think this is supposed to be real.

  • The reason I don't think so is how quickly the guy answers the questions, he doesn't think about the answers. It seems very scripted, this has to be a joke.

  • This is a bloody hilarious sketch from the Australian television programme, "A Current Affair". The bald fellow is John Clarke, originally from New Zealand. He is not dead. The bloke with a well- modulated voice is Bryan Dawe, Australian, also not dead. That their satire could be taken for fact is probably a wonderful thing.

And of course, you can catch them every Friday on the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) at the end of the 7.30 Report. There we are!

  • Hahaha, uhhhhh... racecars, airliners and spacecraft ARE made of cardboard honeycomb... and the front does fall off. For real.

  • Whats the minimum crew requirment?

    Well one i suppose

  • my God Australian Monty Python. hahahahahah

  • Fantastic, I use this in my lessons as a teaching aid, hilarious!!!

"Some ships are built so the front doesn't fall of at all!"

  • "It was towed outside the environment"

  • Hillarious!

  • "a wave hit the ship"

    "is that unusual?"

    "well ya!"

LMFAO ROFL this is the most stupid and hilarious things I've ever seen!!

  • "Well whats out there?

Theres nothing out there just sea and birds and fish.

    And?

And 20,000 tons of crude oil!"

    hilarious!!

  • And a fire XD

  • "and what else?"

    "and a fire"

    LOL hilarious!

  • well, didn't you come in a car?

no, er- the front fell off...

  • I have no idea what that was, but it sure was funny!

  • Please learn how to make a sentence before you question somes grammar.

  • Yeah, well. Sarcasm is lost on somes, I suppose.

  • "some grammar"

Nice one, the irony isn't lost on me.

  • Brilliant!!!!!!!

  • What materials?

    Well Cardbaords out

  • That is brilliant, it looks as if he's being really serious! Something that wouldnt look out of place in a monty python sketch!

  • he's australian, not english

  • haha, australian, not english.

  • "A wave hit the ship."

    "Is that unusual?"

"Oh yeah...at sea? Chance in a million."

    Absolutely freakin' hilarious.

  • Can you book me a cab?

But didn't you come in a commonwealth car?

    Yeah I did.

    What happened?

    The front fell off.

Best part of the video XP

  • And this is the only clip on YouTube that has it! Everybody else copied off the same tape where they say, "We're out of time," and fade out.

  • OMG That's hilarious!!

  • Got have a steering wheel, OMFG LOL

  • Fucking hilarious. I love it. Typical Aussie humour. Pity there's no straight talkers like these left anymore. Too much political correctness these days....

  • Probey, if you like Aussie shows without "political correctness" try "The Chaser's War on Everything". And this video was very funny XD.

  • Top stuff. The 2 comedians at the end are John Clarke (from New Zealand but adopted by Aussies also has a character of Fred Dagg) and Bryan Dawe.

  • I repeat, poes funny!

  • hahaha

  • I can see John Cleese in that performance.

    Definitely inspired by Python.

  • hahahahaha

  • too funny

  • this is hilarious....when will i stop watching this i dont know

  • that seems to be the problem right now. I keep rewatching. finally the full video.. burnt me f****** face. back back back

  • minimum crew requirement.

    whats the minimum crew requirement?

    err....one...i suppose.

  • What Sketch show is this from?

  • This is great :D

    "Yes, I did, but..."

    "What happened?"

"Well, the front fell off" - Hilarious :D

  • Geeze i can't stop laughing at this. The end was the best...I am so saying that every time it'll be funny and will fit in the with situation.

  • huge demand for the minimum crew requirement

  • And this is a perfect example of why we sent all of these mates to that Island they call Australia.

  • You didn't send us here. We escaped.

  • Not that many of us came as prisoners - the vast majority migrated.

  • Best idea we ever had

  • You cant make tankers out of cardboard anymore??

  • Funny every time...

  • this doesn't get any less funny.

  • absolutely faaanbloodytastic
