I like your 'review' in the description. Far Cry 2 - got it on steam sale last week and it's so F*ing addicting. Seen the FC3 a while back, way before getting this game. I enjoy the gameplay, reminds me of the movie 'Surviving the Game' (1994ish). 90% of the gameplay is in the forest area, and everyone that sees you will want to kill you, as for you to them :P

@brinico75 Even a Gay Fish knows that Battlefield 3 is gonna rock & be amazing--on PC! With less players on XBOX I'm not impressed--I'm fed up with knowing that XBOX has 1/2 the power of PC when it comes to games I really enjoy like B3. XBOX360 = OLD--WE WANT XBOX 720!!

So I'm getting it on PC then 360 :D If Battlefield 3 isn't absolutely AMAZING on PC then it's Dice's fault, not the game. BF3 has unlimited potential with the PC graphics cards and tech. Dice has learned a lot since BC1 :D

i installed this game today. Just stopped playing it, not gotten very far at the moment. I'm running it using an HD Radeon (Asus direct CU) 6850 and an Athlon 11x4 3.0ghz with 2 gigs RAM on xp. My monitor at the moment is only an old hp so i'm at 1280x768 (I think) so it's ultra high settings for me with 8x anti aliasing and looks a dream. I find it interesting tho that crysis has the ultra high setting locked off to xp users but not farcry 2 when they use similar engines. Damn annoying! lol

@paberatne i know i own a few consoles my self i just find it annoying when some one says consoles play everything at ultra high since they don't cause the games are made to a lower graphical spec so the consoles gpu can handle it whereas on pc there are people with good graphics cards (not everyone but a lot of them) and the games are made in a way that they utilize all the power of the cards hence better textures and full anti-alising and even some times better models.

I must say. Without playing either games, Crysis looks better then far cry, but far cry seems to have better daytime system and better gameplay.

i prefer crysis/warhead, because it got better gameplay, and better KI. ubisoft screwed farcry up. only thing on the positive side is the fire mechanics

Why does everyone post "will my pc play this?". Yes your pc will most likely play this game. I have an AMD Athlon 64 processor 3700+, 2 gig of RAM, a geforce 7900 and I can run this game on just about max settings.

I seriously think I have the oldest computer on here yet can run this game with ease.

@TheXtraGuy that's laptop, so quad core (and over 1,5GHz!) processor is very powerful. In laptops processors must be smaller so they can't be X6 @ 3,33GHz.

No, I check the hardware's temperature with Everest Ultimate Edition pro, and the gpu is near 40 degrees, an the processor is near 39 degrees, I don't think this is a temperature problem, because when I turn on the pc an play this game, the pc is cold, and the lag appears! This problem drives me crazy!

there shod be consequence whit everything u do, like if u blow up hospital some will hate you & some weapon shops wont sell you stuff, so you actions can make game hard to you, like if you have mission to arrest weapons dealer you have 3 options arrest-kill-let him go, if you let him go u get good stuff from him but your enemy's are better armed as well, i think you got the point :)

You could use more RAM. Just be sure to close down all programs before starting up the game. Other than that, you'll probably get a decent frame rate with medium settings or slightly higher.
