I was at that game in the student section. I also stormed the field.The best sporting event I have ever attended. Also the loudest! Listen to the crowd....it was so loud that night!!!! GREAT memories and a great game!

I was at this game and after the fans stormed the field, I walked out on it and tore out some grass from the middle of the field. I still have it and can see the purple, gold and white paint on it from the "LSU" letters at the center of the field.

I was in grad school at LSU at this time.........had season tickets in the student section. None of my buddies wanted to go because they thought we were gonna get blown out. So, I went by myself and sat in my seat in with the other students. It's still the greatest game and greatest time I've ever had at ANY football game.

I'll be there this Saturday (10/10/2009) too and expect the same result!

You are looking East but there was an Upper Deck on the West side back then, it's behind the cameras. It was above my seats in the South Upper deck. Now, the new West Upper is behind my seats.

I remember Adrian Karsten prowling the sideline in the SW corner during the game for his reports which were shown during the game on ESPN (he's the one interviewing LSU coach DiNardo after the game). Karsten died in 2005.

Yeah my first memories were from about 94-95 i think the first game i went to was the one where LSU won 12-6 against Auburn, so those years have a special place in my memory. To bad we had to hire fucking Lou Tepper and waste so much talent in 1998.
