@ifatsho I freaking hate these stupid foreigners who come to my country and video tape all these innocent people without them knowing or without their permission. I hope they star kidnapping these idiots for ransom that way they realize how it feels to hack someone's liberty. These westerns come here for cheap drugs and virgin girls and boys. I hope indian government start running a drug test on these bastards. Whites treats us like a shit when we go their countries...fucking assholes.
@Rohit84up We don't do drugs, treat people as we liked to be treated and always asked permission to video tape people. We had a fantastic experience getting to know the people of India and learning about their culture. I felt that we were welcomed and treated very well. Hate is a nasty thing and you, Rohit84up, have demonstrated what hate is and looks like. Say no to hate!
Awesome video! You got some great shots and footage. I got to visit Pushkar, but not during the camel fair. I want to go back now! Thanks for sharing.
If I could give more stars I would!! This has got to be one of the very best videospot on YouTube. Seriously.
I am very fond of camels. They are beautiful, hard-working animals who can keep you alive when other animals can't survive themselves. To see the exciement of this fair really is a treat.
There is an estimated 30,000 camels in Pushkar for the fair. There are also horse, cows and goats and some 8000 tourists on a good year. The idea is to show off your animals and eventually trade and sell them. Pushkar is a very basic city unlike the westernized Delhi, Mumbai. This gathering is ancient and for the locals of Rajasthan... not the tourists! But, they enjoy it, too.
Great video you've out together. I'm taking 2 of my boys there this year and it looks like they'll have an amazing lot of things to see from what you have shown. Thanks!
wow! nice video! I am doing a report on camels for school and was actually hoping to find some footage of camels dancing. But now, after seeing your video, it makes me want to go to India even more! peace
This is an awesome video, I went to the last maha Khumba Mela in allehabad and it was awesome, I really want to go to the pushkar camel fair and plan on going in the next few years. thanks for posting and doing all the work on it. it flows pretty well
I see you took video of the "sacred" lake. We toured India in Nov 2006 and felt that a trip to India would not be complete unless we saw the Camel Fair there. In this video you very wisely kept your narration to a minimum while letting the video itself tell the story. Your use of the "sped up" action, and "slide" presentation was very effective. Being "camera oriented" my highlight was photos with camels in front of the disk of the setting sun. Extra memory cards required.
Great vid! I just returned from India and a brief stay in Pushkar as a part of a familiarization tour for my husband's business (tours to India) and am delighted to see what Pushkar becomes during the fair. It is a lovely place even in the off-season but I can now envision the place coming alive with the arrival of the people and the animals. Thanks for sharing!
I hate all this animal abuse you see in India. horrible
