I can't help but thinking (much as I'd love this video to be real) that this has been done on a dyno. Every cameraman would find it very hard to hold the cam steady whilst accelerating as fiercely as that.

if it was a csl i think who ever posted it would not have missed that attention to detail besides there is not that much diffrence between the csl and m3 it is only 17hp it is the weight and the other goodies on the csl and you can get an awsum csl exact replica intake from VAC motor sport that would give csl intake noise like this!

@friisteiler Digital speedo is 100 % accurate, analog speed is not, I tested digital speedo by using gearbox ratio, final drive, rpm and tire size and they perfectly matched with digital speedo.

The m5 was build with smg i think! This car is the M3 Csl, you can hear it bec of the incredible air intake sound =)

I've never driven a car with a sequential box. I know they have a clutch rather than a toque converter but obviously the clutch is operated by the car... think I got that right?  I've no idea why its engaging early when compared to a manual car with a clutch. Must just be the way its designed. I had a look at some other smg vids and they all seem to do the same thing so obviously meant to be that way :)

you can hear the clutch slipping and see it too on the revs. hes engaging it a little too early and that's why its slipping. anyone who can actually drive a car won't need any further explanation. its not ideal to slip it but its upto him and its nothing to get annoyed over lol.

but i think you can clearly see the smg display on the right side under the rpm gauge. you can see the gears AND the "shift-speed-level". that comes ONLY with the SMG tranny.
