I agree, that would be ideal. I think it would take far too much computing power to run smoothly, though. Whole populations of creatures living side-by-side is definitely something to aim for once the computing power is up to it.
Hmmm... Was just thinking of how real evolution works and thought of a way you could make this a little more realistic... You could make a way to add a Previously made Creature (Preferably one thats supposed to get to a goal) into a new evolution as a predator. If the predator is able to touch the Creature than its excluded from the Breeding process (Like real evolution, You die... You dont get to breed)
why cant it be like spore but better like you dont have to control them i dont like controling them

But the predator would also be evolving as well (Obviously, it would be quite highly evolved at the beginning, But not too much)
