  • Completely wasting money,to keep incompetent companies in business

  • This description could very well apply to ANY WESTERN COUNTRY. When will we realize that the path we've chosen, is the path to destruction?

  • @doomdayjudge Less than 9 years from now. The National Debt will be over 30 trillion by then.

We are screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewed. Buy silver and gold, it's not going to peak for at least 10 years.

  • The Social Security did not run out of surplus in 2016 or 2012 but in 2010.

  • You are right could not agree more

  • how can i get a granade!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Has anyone noticed that Schiff only talks out of the right side of his mouth? Now that's a real conservative.

  • yup

  • Comment removed

  • The interesting thing is that Toyota & BMW have plants in the Southern states.

  • and people in dept

  • how dumb are people, cash for clunkers is nothing new.

what about my right to clean air, drinking water, healthy hunting and fishing grounds--the corporations have been violating my rights just to make a buck for the oil giants

  • Yeah corporations rape everyone! they make more money as the rip off everyone else. Greed is the cause of the financial crisis, greedy corporate owners dont need more money but they will get it.

  • people will still be greedy, but the domination by a few will always slip, we the people will take the power back

  • wtf? you have NO rights, mate.

  • Its funny how everybody besides our goverment knows what caused this.We are so screwed very soon.

  • Basically what you're saying, their SHIT ain't working!!!

  • Where did Wells Fargo get the money to loan? What is the origin of the funds? Isn't this ALL debt? If so isn't the mortgage a means by which Wells Fargo practices creating money out of thin air? Google Credit River Case.

    americaindistress.

  • My fellow americans are so dumb .. they don't even realize that all the cars are being destroyed, hence, increasing DEMAND but only for new cars (loans) .... then they sign up for more loans at interest ... Also, good luck finding PARTS NOW you damn fools ...

  • I think it bull when our President Obama tells us to shut up. I think is bull to see that our Congress is totally disconnected with the American Public. What is next, jets for clunkers for Congress to buy?

  • Wadda you expect from a one party state. They have the House, the Congress, and now the Judiciary. God help us all.

  • hey Pete talk about the dodgy government surveillance programs...talk about it man!

  • i think this whole thing is crap. i can't even afford a second car of my own, but my tax money can go to give other people money to buy a car!!!!! i'm afraid for america. i really am.

  • Indeed.

  • When the repossessions start ...all the news media will headline "WHAT WENT WRONG"...and then deny they pushed the propaganda to get into this mess. None of them have the balls to speak against this stupidity.

  • That is what I was just thinking about. All of those Repossessions and if you don't make payments, "your" car wont start at all. I noticed that many of these government "cash for clunkers" have in some cars that passtime feature in them. Yeah, I can see it now. "WHAT WENT WRONG".

  • Who the hell has ever heard of a Government giving cash vouchers to buy an automobile?Maybe Hitler did it, i dont know?

  • I will never by an american car again. I don't trust any auto company because they do a good job of screwing the smart working americans. I say, that if you get a car that is easily to fix, excellent. I not fund of these electronic cars that can easily mess up with comptuer chips in them. Thanks Malibu.

  • God help us all.

  • Indeed. Although, I am an atheist, but yeah, I understand your message. When the depression comes, the question many people will have to answer is "How far will you go for food when the dollar collpase?" Remember, fourteen million starve to death in the last depression.

  • I'm an atheist but I don't believe in God, it was just an expression from a helpless person. I sincerely beleive that we'll not get out of this one. So when I say may God be with you it means good luck to you because there won't be anyone to help us.

  • Your Whacked ! You are into feeding your viewers and your viewers . Panic ! aint you rich enough !!! Just too screw people ! Hey, pete ,take to the bank !!

  • I agree with you.

  • Amen

  • Social Security would have been fine and dandy if every President since Regan would have left it alone. Instead, every Administration since Regan raided the fund in order to fund big budget deficits.

  • Was ss disability ever funded with separate funds, you know some retirees think their ss money is in a lockbox. You know like a bank that collects no interest.

ss disability is free money for people with disabilities.

  • watch?v=Brp_7XHuS0E

  • I think this guy is very very right in his comment about "cash for Clunckers"! And by right I mean "Correct." Common sense tells me "why are we going to get in more debt" I hope americans can THINK this time and for once use their "common sense" forget what the TV expert says, and trust your senses. For once please "be in control of your desicions"!!!!!

  • I will never buy a uaw built auto ever! They have been in the bag for the demcrats. Then you look at the state of michagan and their tax induced recession for what the whole counrty is in for!

  • You're right. I not buying american again. Especially Chevy. Yeah, we're defiently going to a depression and you tell by all the lies that are coming from CNBC, the White House, and all of mainstream media. The question is, when people can't buy food, will defending yourself be moral. In other words, how far will you go to not starve to death?

  • Another reason against gov run healthcare. Every dollar spent by the gov is by nature a political act. I don't want to watch the news so that I can see if I can live or die, decided by people who exempt themselves from their own program. The gov class needs to stay in their portion of the sandbox and not come over to mine. I'm ok with 30% of the sandbox, not 50%.

  • Ford is getting top sales from this program and did not take bailout money!!! Toyota and honda models round out the top five!!!! I am glad! No way I would buy a chevy or dodge after they took the money!

  • The reason why Ford didn't need to take bailout money is because they TANKED 2 yrs earlier than GM, when credit was still flowing. They took 30B in loans because they were going under.

  • You are right. I have owned all the big three. But as long as I can buy a nonobama, non uaw built truck they have sold me their last!

  • This reminds me of the destruction of acres of good farmland during the depression.

  • I saw a MINT volvo being silicated to death and it just broke my heart. The thing was gasping and weazing saying,"don't kill me,please".

  • What would PT Barnum say about this? A fool born every minute. Watch how many people, do not make the first payment.

The repo business is going to have a boom.

All just a distraction for what is coming.

  • Damn straight!!!! My car is paid off free and clear. Why would I want to put myself into debt again for another 5 or 6 years. The only way I'll get another car is if they give it to me. 10 years old and still going strong.

  • u r a damn sales man.. bye

  • A damn good one :)

  • I meant exactly what I said and that's why I chose the words.

  • Don't worry, all of the low-income people who would have loved to buy one of those "clunkers" in order to get themselves to and from work won't have a job to get to and from once Obama gets through running every possible job out of the country by over-taxing and over-regulating.

A bicycle works just fine when all you have to do is ride to the corner store to cash your gov't check.

  • What you just said is so true. That is even happeing in the city I live. People riding their bicycles to the coner store to cash government checks, then they spend it at the liquor store, wall-mart, cell-phone stores, etc. Every time I go to wall-mart, I see people with Obama shirts and hats and people with WIC checks. I used to be a cashier, and let me tell you, we will enter a major depression and when I warn people about it, they call me names and worship the state. I did my part.

  • like 9/11 - The man in the cave did it!

  • This broken lame ass program is supported on the backs of hard working tax payers!!!!! ..........This is an OBAMANATION!!!!!

  • Hell i was going to see if my broke tail could get a better Clunker then my 1994 4x4 suburban clunker since my credit has been shot due to the economy and come to find out, all the cars are to be destroyed! I would love to know if we destroy all the cars now, what happens with car collectors? I mean think about it, if in 1930 they did the same thing, my uncle's sweet 1930 model A hot rod would be siding instead of a show stopper!

  • No good businessman wants to pay Hard working americans, they want people that are hungry and desperate and willing to work for below poverty level pay and no health benefits or safety regulations as in Mexico, china, and other countries.Wait a few years, plenty of jobs will be available here in the US when we're starving and willing to work for peanuts.

  • You should repharse your comment to Smart working americans, not hard working. It's not how hard you work, it's how smart you work. No smart american would work below poverty level. I not trying to insult anyone, but this is true. I will not work slave wages for a company that does not care about it's workers.

  • No buddy has mentioned this that I know of but this is a big rip off of our money for the insurance company's. If you buy a new car you have to have full coverage. That is a huge dept burden on the buyer. The insurance company's are part of this scam.

  • Thank you. People who cannot afford to buy a new car will now have to choose from a more limited supply of used ones.. Perhaps it's better if someone now takes on the expense of a new car who may not be able to reach the end payment? This 'program' involves 'immobilizing' the engine of the trade-in with an additive and imposes other time conditions as well, thus driving up costs. I cannot imagine this helping the poor slobs being forced to accept this. More monopoly, less freedom.

  • and then they run out of money in a week...I know I shouldnt laugh cuz its really more sad than funny but...LMAO...."con is the opposite of pro, so is CONgress the opposite of PROgress?"

  • Our tax money should have never been used for cash for clunkers. this whole thing tells me they have way to much of our money to play with while we go broke.

  • What a joke. Many people are in debt up to their eyeballs and the president is encouraging people to buy NEW cars, most of which will be financed by a LOAN. Great idea, destroy cars that run perfectly fine and take on more debt.

  • Good point. So when said people in debt get their NEW car repoed, not only do they lose their new car but their old car is crushed!

They're walking OR buy another OLD car.

Why fork out $30,000+ for a new car versus $300 of maintenance to keep your older car running?

OR why not just give people vouchers to keep their PAID FOR car running and modify/convert them into fuel efficient cars? Make a total electric engine, eliminate the need for gas all together. Nahhhh, too easy.

  • True

  • the cash for clunkers idea is as stupid as the destruction of livestock during the Great Depression. only difference is then, they were doing it to hold prices up, now, they're doing it to hold temperatures down.

either way, it's totally looney. you don't destroy things that work perfectly well for nonsense reasons.

  • Peter Schiff is the damn truth here.

  • Cash 4 clunkers: After all these horrible bailouts, Ill gladly take a measly 4,500 toward a new car!

Obama said we are a nation based on debt and credit so its that what Americans are supposed to do...go into debt!!! How else is the elite class supposed to stay elite?

I think it is in our best interest to let borrowers own their things as fast as possible instead of slowly killing us with ridiculous interest payments. I think its obvious those people would in turn borrow more...right?

  • Peter is terrific he always gets right to the causes and boldly exposes the wrongs and the wrong doers. Sad to say our Government doesn't really want to fix this Country they want it Changed by making we the people slaves or service people to Big Brother's agenda. Look how all the jobs are gone that which made our Country great now gone! Hollywood and the booze Companies are doing great, guess they got lots of bail out money.

  • FOR EVERYONE who FOLLOWS JIM ROGERS, PETER SCHIFF, MARC FABER and RON PAUL... I just always go to financialtruth0.blogspot . com because they post all the latest videos there! Thanks for uploading this vid anyway!!!

  • We need to organize more protests. Bigger and more respectable so there's NO WAY that Communist news network can twist the truth!

  • What was the song you used in the background? I really liked it. I kept watching it because I wanted to keep listening to the song.

  • interesting - watch?v=oV1tIUaIJ3k

  • 5 years ago home depot was a fast growing company with 30% annual growth. They would have kept growing at that rate even with 50% taxes. Bush gave a speech how cutting taxes would help their growth. Bush cut their taxes and their growth has stalled to 5%. It is all BS. Home depot ran out of buyers to sustain that growth.

  • Peter, I think a bigger and more obvious reason many companies are failing is their decrease in income. Yes taxes are too high and there's way too much regulation, but the reason most companies are in this position is that their business models, investments, projections etc were based on unsustainable consumer spending. Many small businesses including myself either turned a blind eye or didn't see it coming.

  • Currency deflation or negative inflation would actually cause the value of gold to increase. The US dollar is a fiat currency not back by gold..As money becomes scare people like to invest in rare metals as an asset, such as gold...

  • Stop making sense Peter, dont you know that right is wrong and wrong is right now? dont you know that the whole world is upsidedown now? Its only a matter of time before we will be required to call obama God.

  • LOL so true!

The whole world has lost their minds!

  • If the deriavative bubble/bond burst. Wouldn't that be deflationary and cause gold prices to fall

  • to use peter's own example: no, it wouldnt be any more deflationary than if you didn't collect the insurance money on your house when it burns down would be deflationary.

that money wasn't in the economy and its "destruction" doesn't affect anything.

  • Then when is there a deflationary event? I thought when you default on your debt, its deflationary because of the fractional reserve nature of banking

I may be confusing this event as being the same as a deriavative/bond default

  • defaulting on debt is a deflationary event. but the derivative hoopla will not have the same effects as loans.

think of it (derivatives) like what would happen if your insurance policy on your house doesn't get paid after your house is destroyed.

  • Peter Schiff is a national hero for exposing the hyperinflation before it makes all Americans broke. I suggest you guys check out the articles and signup for the free newsletter at: Inflation . us

  • You really think you're going to beat the banks?

you can't organize a national strike, much less an economic revolt.

Until you realize that the Crooks are not only in government, but those corporations holding your government hostage it's going to get worse.

Bad mouthing me or rating my comments down only pushes those who would help to unite and discuss ideas away.

This why we are living in a Plutocracy now.

  • So true, so true. I agree with you.

  • i'm a canadian and a peter schiff fan

  • PHIL GRAMM is #1 on online poll of '25 People To Blame For Financial Crisis'.

Gramm's 'Commodity Futures Modernization Act' turned Wall Street into Vegas.

  • more truth, yet almost no one wants to listen, i've tried to tell people about it but they just don't care. They are stuck on going to the bars and keeping up to date on their football statistics.

  • So if we're all in agreement that Government is an evil destructive elixar why do half of us think the antidote is drinking more of the poison that's killing us ?

  • Peter Schiff is the man, we need to prepare now for hyperinflation before it is too late. Everybody with savings in U.S. dollars will soon be broke. Read the articles and signup for the free newsletter at: Inflation . us

  • Thank you for your videos.

  • Schiff for President 2012

  • This is your best vlog yet

  • Absolutely superb! I hope you come up to Canada more often and share your intelligent common sense with the legions on the Left who are convinced that money grows on trees ... on the properties of the rich folks!

  • RUN FOR SENATE!!!

  • Category = Comedy ? LOL. I guess the critique of current administrations is a dark comedy. Love the Vlog.

  • Peter Schiff is a hero and knows that Americans who don't prepare for hyperinflation will soon be broke. Read the articles and signup for the free newsletter at: Inflation . us

  • your points are well taken peter.. we know that they know that what they are doing is nonsense. the US government is flailing.. ultimately they will fail and bring down the economy and country even further.. no wonder i drink..

  • Great video! Thanks Peter

  • Before we all jump down this poor fellow's throat for saying something like this, let's all stop for a sec and take a deep breath. At least this fellow is listening to the likes of Peter Schiff. There is hope for him.

  • Libertarian Magic Dust

    watch?v=7QDv4sYwjO0

youll need it because men are not angels

  • What a farce. Somali is not emergent market anarchy, it has a dozen micro states.

  • Yes, Mr Madoff, you too can enjoy living in Somalia or continue your serfdom under the current Oligarchy.

  • Men are indeed not angels, so why should one be all powerful via centralized government?

  • I'm not for a centralized government - especially when it's run by the MIC, Corporations and banks as it is now. We are living in a Plutocracy, or haven't you noticed?

What do you want a nation of tribes?

You're not going to get a Libertarian society because you can't trust people, that's why people created government.

The only thing the Free Market gave us was slavery to corporations because you can't trust people.

Even Schiff admits that, which is why we are swinging the other way

  • I'm glad that you are not for a centralized government, as I lean towards the views of the Anti-Federalists myself. It has only interfered with true progress.

No, I don't want a nation of tribes. Although, I would not mind a subdivision into 50 Switzerlands.

A libertarian society can exist with government, so long as it exists within rational bounds, obeys the rule of law and respects individual rights.

The free market gave us modern society, without it, there would still be feudalism.

  • "rule of law"

There's the problem, no one seems to care about that. Though 50 Switzerlands would be rather cool, we have a long way to go just to undo the moral mess we are in now

Problem with a Libertarian Government is there aren't enough people worth trusting. Look at the majority of our institutions

Maybe some day in outer space

ITMT we're headed for some form of socialism. Probably some European type. Out of that will come little Libertarian experiments

    People want protection

  • Long way to go to undo some alleged moral mess? Downsize or crush D.C. and everything else will fall into place.

There aren't enough people worth trusting for a small government? Wouldn't that mean that a bigger government is even worse?

I certainly am not headed for some form of socialism. If I fail at stopping it, then I will either not either be alive, or I will at least not be in the USA.

  • happy trails

  • I hope that you have not read my comment as extremist. I meant that I would fight alongside my fellow Americans should there be enough of them, like Jefferson would. If such a move is doomed to fail, then I will pull a John Galt.

  • Furthermore, I don't care if people 'want protection'. That does not make it right. You really have to think for yourself now and then. Besides, people are getting the opposite of protection through an increasingly intrusive government. They are ironically being placed in greater danger.

  • greater danger? There's 300 million people in the US and billions in Asia. This isn't 1776.

  • marniespeaks: False in every particular. American workers in the '20s were much better off than their much more heavily unionized counterparts in Europe. The only way unions can increase wages for some workers is by freezing others out. That's what labor unions do. They are anti-social, anti-worker institutions based on crankish economic ideas, and their distortions of the labor market have severely damaged the position and wealth of labor as a whole.

  • haha unions may have helped in some instances...they sure as hell do not anymore. they are a very big drain on business (hence why they continue to fail at unionizing walmart)

I believe hazlitt writes in detail about unions and how over the years have made workers poorer due to lower purchasing power of dollar. HAHA you must have failed economics. Oh wait, they don't even teach it in school anymore. Just propaganda

  • Google video search "Walmart - High Cost of Low Prices"

See how these corporations kill the little guy.

  • So you are for indentured slavery in Commie China, low wages, 14/7 days and no bill of rights? I bet you're a proud investor.

"Penn and Teller do a good job destroying that 1 sided flick"

This Penn and Teller ep isn't about the Wal-Mart Movie. That ep was about a couple of nut jobs who hate Wal-mart.

You didn't even bother watching the Wal-Mart Film did you?

This then makes you a liar

I trust you less than government AND you make Libertarians look bad and stupid

    Nice going pal!

  • You are aware that there are more than 2 countries on the earth, besides the USA and China, right? Please get an education.

That was actually a short clip from the episode and not the episode itself. Showtime must have taken the full episode down.

I actually did watch the movie. When you falsely accuse someone, that makes you the liar.

I can't help you if you jump to hasty conclusions arrived at through poor logic and misinterpreted evidence.

  • You need an education, China hold the largest portion of our debt - Cripes!, don't you even listen to Peter Schiff on his own channel?

And you didn't watch the film because you said Penn and Teller exposed it when those people in the P&T clip weren't even in the Walmart film

so not only are you a liar you're a moron.

    now bugger off fraud.

  • How does your first point relate to anything I said? Just because China holds a large portion of the debt does not mean I have tomove there. Please stay on topic.

Those people certainly were not in the walmart film. Neither were Penn and Teller. What is your point? I intended to show you the whole episode of the P&T episode, but like I said, showtime must have taken it down.

I thought I would give you a clip that is revealing of your kind of thinking: watch?v=Fcv5e6xX25I

  • you don't even watch the videos you send.

please go away you are making Libertarians look like morons.

  • I guess Mr. Liberal does not take into account that the best beaches in the world are in the private sector, whether at theme resorts or on small islands.

  • Somalia is actually better now without governments than it has ever been. Just like a man in crutches is better off than how he was in a wheelchair.

It takes years, often decades to develop a modern economy.

  • thanks. i like the suit example.

  • Schiff for CT senate! MN is pulling for you!

  • It's nice to have Peter as my personal economic news filter. :)

    Nice VBlog

  • I did not know about the car trade-up gov. incentive. This administration is like sci-fi satire come to life. The Age of Folly...

  • I love the way Peter Schiff can always say the same thing yet with a completely new set of ridiculous situations. I suppose that's a poor reflection of the state of the US, that new instances of the same mistakes are being made/revealed every single week.

  • what do you mean by that? I was wondering if you could explain what you mean in greater detail.

  • Panpiper has explained what I meant now, he is correct.

  • I think you meant to say that every week there is another new set of ridiculous situations and each time, Peter Schiff reveals that it is the same mistakes that continue to be made. The way you wrote it, it sounds a bit like you are saying Peter Schiff is being ridiculous.

  • I look forward to UNSPUN bro.

    Peace from southern Cali.

  • Where does one find the live broadcast of that radio program? Is it streamed on the web?

  • WE NEED HEMP!!!!!!!

  • we do, industrial hemp was one of the most cultivated plants IN THE WORLD up until the 1800's i think. industrial hemp is very viable, you cant get high off of it, its a weed so its easy to grow, AND you can make TONS AND TONS of products out of it. shampoo, cooking oil, car oil, gasoline, chap stick, shirts, rope, paper THINK OF ALL THE JOBS!!!! but no, cannabis is wrong BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT SAYS IT IS!!!!!!!!

    the government is a joke....

  • pretty hardcore joke.

  • this is far from a joke, do your research and you;ll know first hand!

  • your preaching to the choir.

  • Within the next few years, the printing press policies of the fed will trigger hyperinflation and a dumping of US currency. The US will no longer be able to float it's debt and will be forced to default. All expenditures will have to come from taxation, which the US will be in no position to pay much of. Rather than reduce government, even more money will be printed instead and price controls will be imposed, resulting in massive shortages, rationing and a black market for actual capitalism.

  • This system wont change because it works for the politicians. These guys don't have to fix problems they only have to tell everyone that their is a problem and they are working on fixing it. Then everyone opens their wallets - like my unborn great-grandchildren - and says have at it. If Obama really wanted this system to change he could have made at least ONE good move by now. Something's up, these elite aren't stupid enough to ruin themselves along with everyone else.

  • Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
