  • you have a great accent you should move to the u.s.

  • I think somebody else is talking for you because your lips don't match the speaking.

  • omg you dumb americans you speeking english

  • Your accent is great! But Americans like foreign accents better anyway :P so sport your accent! lol and Americans that say "like" a lot do it out of bad habit, it's considered uneducated >.< haha so you don't have to say like to sound American (:

  • you have a thin accent but a very beautiful voice! you are completely understand. just use the word "like" less. lol we really don't use it that much, and you will sound like an uneducated valley girl from LA

  • yo, wat sup nigga?

  • All you have to do to fit in is keep saying like every five seconds. And keep the accents. Most Americans (including me and pretty much every person I know) find accents ridiculously sexy as long as they can still understand you. Just sayin'.

  • Yes, you have a good accent.

  • Ur accent is practically perfect!!! don't worry about what ur family said.

  • what a hottie...

  • you have a great accent, but imitating an american accent , espeically what most people consider "and american accent" is actually a Midwestern accent. and it's almost impossible to imitate.. i've never met someone whom i couldn't tell was foreign if they were.. we can pick out the smallest thing...if you just make one rhythmic mistake or pronounce a word slightly different..we can tell instantly... but your accent is much better than most foreigners..

  • No clue how i ended up here, you tube is an addicting maze. Anyway, I hope you're doing well in the US if you came but as for the accent, it's very heavy. I speak french and german in addition to english and what I've found is that some sounds my ears or my brain just can't distinguish. I hope you have better luck than I. Though you may consider, we (americans) LOVE accents! If nothing else it's a conversation starter and bound to help you meet people.

  • This is an American everyday language. Reminder! I am American. AY! DOG WANN GO SMOKE SUM CRACKZ?

  • why are you coming to America? whats appealing about this place?

  • Your English is very good. Do not worry about your accent. It is barely noticeable.

  • Comment removed

  • Gawd u r HOT! ;o)

  • Like, your American accent would be like more realistic like if you threw in like a few "likes" Like do you know what like I mean like? Just like kidding. The audio to this video is not in sync with the picture. Reminds me of an early 70s kung fu movie.

  • You can tell your not from America but it is only a slight bit. You're doing great.

  • khafesho parastoo

  • So sorry your American family members told you that. I'd rather hear good English with a foreign accent any day, as long words are clear. There are SO many American accents to choose from as it is, and we're used to dealing with foreign accents. And not just accents, different people do different inflections. So I don't see the point in trying to sound "American," unless you're just havin fun with it.

  • Your intonation is a little off. You don't sound American, but you don't have to because you aren't. The most important point is that your English is perfect.

  • keep the swedish accent....it's hot haha

  • your accent is great!

  • your fine i was born in america and i have trouble with some of our wordslol

  • Were you doing your accent the whole time?

I could tell you were from Scandinavia. (I probably couldn't tell from where though if you didn't say Sweden in the beginning) I feel like the area you should try to improve on are your U's and O's. I'm not a language coach so I can't tell you what to change your voice to, but I feel like that's what gave it away for me. Probably just de-emphasize those syllables and you'll be fine.

I also think you'll get better as you live in the country. No worries!

  • America has vastly different accents with in the country, so I don't know which one you were going for but you definitely don't sound American. I can understand you perfectly fine, so there's not need for improvement unless you want it.

  • If I can understand you, I actually prefer for you to keep your accent from your foreign country. I think it sounds better, and it actually impresses people here to sound foreign.

  • You definitely sound american!!!

  • If you came to America and spoke with an American accent you would remain a solid 8. Now if you came to America and spoke with an accent I feel like that would boost you a point or so, maybe an extra .5 on top of that.

  • I think you have a good mid-western generic accent. But some of the vowel sounds you make, like "soon" and "you" and "why"and words with R's, like "great" need a little work. The oo sound is a little to hard. Wh as in why, and R's come a little to far back in your mouth. Why is pronounced a lot of ways. say Yi, more like whai, than whie for most places. Most southerners say waheye. Put less movement, less form, less effort into it.

  • @fukinu2ub midwestern generic accent. lol nice

  • Your english is great, I know 3 languages myself, working on 2 more, and i know how hard it is to get rid of an accent, sometimes you don't even realize you had one!

    Its understandable, you're fine

  • You speak very clearly, don't drop the accent its very nice to hear.

  • Don't try to lose your accent! If you can be easily understood but still have an apparent accent, it can be very attractive. It's a GOOD thing. :)

  • Your English is terrific. You are clearly a non native speaker. There is no way you would be able to pass for American.

  • this is true, there is no "american accent" in america, there is average english, southern english, Western english, and coast english like new jersey, and new york.

  • No such thing as American accent, each state in America has their own accent. The fact you speak broken English, that's perfect :D, not too many people in America speaks good English anyway :D

  • Your r's are rough. Everytime you pronounce an r you under-pronounciate it and your swedish accent is revealed. Also, that hockey, jesus chick is right accents can be a good thing.

  • Northern people say like alot thats it.

  • You have a slight accent, but I definitely couldn't pinpoint it to Sweden. It's perfectly understandable! Picking up a language is difficult, but picking up a specific accent along with a language is beyond me. How did you teach yourself the accent?

  • I can understand you totally fine. I can detect a slight accent, but im sure you being in the states for a couple of weeks will mostly change that. But yeah, easily understandable.

  • FYI. Americans don't have accents.

  • @zkenzo You could not be any more retarded and it could not be any more obvious that youve never spent any significant time outside of America. EVERYBODY has an accent. An accent is how you pronounce different syllables, vowels, etc. Their are different accents all across America. Not just the South or Boston or whatever crap you think. Ive been to Britain and when we said "Woah we love your accents!" the Brits said, "We dont have accents!? YOU have accents!"

  • @jacobi2393 It all depends on who you talk to.

  • @zkenzo I dont see how that makes a difference. Are you saying that whether im right or wrong depends on if a talk to someone who agrees or doesnt? I assure you im not sharing an opinion, but a fact. Accent is just one of the many characteristics of language, and no matter who you talk to or what language they are speaking they will have an accent that someone else who speaks the same language will recognize as different from their own

  • @zkenzo FYI. Everybody has an accent. An accent is just the particular way you pronounce certain vowels, syllables, etc. And even in America people speak differently in different parts of the country

  • YAAAY I'm Iranian too. Chetori?

  • Farsi? WTF youre iranian? Im Iranian too

    Damn

  • your fine. :) I understood everything you said.....from what I hear its very hard to master this language.....so, KUDOS!!!

  • I've been to Sweden twice, once for 6 weeks and once or 3 months. I always found it funny how swedes think their accent is off or worry that their English is horrid, but when we think of bad accents or bad at english we think of the Somalians and Mexicans and so on who come to our country not knowng a word of english. Trust me when i say everyone here will bather impressed by how well you speak, and that you are fluent at such a young age. For here, we only learn english. You'll do great. :)

  • @Histeek Canadian accents sound kind of like mexican accents.

  • @cervezero11 Hell no, Minnesotans sound like Canadians. I should know, I live in Minnesota. The further north you go, the more Canadian it gets. ;) Mexicans just sound like Mexicans.

  • the way you talk sounds more french with a hint of a sweetish accent! it sou.ds really cool. just try to stay away from the word "like".. but other than that its fabulous!

  • how do u have the time ...........

to give a flaming kaka about what people care

    about an ACCENT

    lmao

if you had a tumor the size of a right nutsack rite on ur forhead... then u shuld make a vid asking people if u need to do something about it

    but and ACCENT

ur a pretty girl who shuldnt give a fuck wat people think.... least about ur accent lmao

  • make sure you know sarcasm thats the number one language for us americans

  • I have several Swedish friends and some of them look around your age....your accent is much better than theirs and they've been to visit me here in the U.S. several times. You're doing a great job.

  • Don't change your accent at all. Its adorable. It may not be a 100% american one but hey, I can understand you. Thats all that matters

  • I think the way you speak English is fine. Most american guys like the accents anyways, and your english is very easy to understand, no need for any accent,. :))

  • @hockeygirllovesjesus Yes we do.

  • @cervezero11

I figured as much. I am french canadian, and I spent a couple years in America, and guys seemed to like my accent as it was. xD

  • @hockeygirllovesjesus Maybe because it's different that's what makes it sexy, i'm Mexican-American by the way.

  • @cervezero11

That could be. I'm not an american male, so I wouldn't know for sure. xD

  • Why would you move to the US? There's so much racism/hatered against Persians, Arabs, Moslems, etc in the media/politics here that it would make your head spin. Also, in the US, rich people steal all the money from the Middle Class unlike Sweeden.

  • 121 people are Israeli

  • Americans love accents. They'll be so much more interested in you if you keep the accent.

  • why so many dislikes? this is impressive

  • why bother trying to get rid of your accent. americans arent stupid they can understand what people are saying with their accents.

  • Keep the swedish accent. Americans love that.

  • No American guy is going to be able to tell you have an accent when you speak to them, they're just going to be staring at your face and thinking of ways to get you to go on a date with them.

  • pretty good girl

  • Ur grammar b great. Accent a little off tho. And TLK6200 is right Americans ARE fascinated by Europeans

  • wowwwwwwwww. i'm persian armenian born in iran, raised in germany, and been a california gangster ever since. :) we should hook up ahahaha jk ur really beautiful tho (i never use that word, just wanna b nice to my own kind)

  • Righ propert, God I hate that phrase.

  • Grrr. Stop saying fucking "Like" so much. You'll work out the accent, but saying like makes you sound like an ass.

  • I could tell as soon as you said "hello world" that you were not from America ("world" was a little off). However, I work with many Europeans, and you accent is by far the closest to American English that I have ever heard. You probably speak English better than many Americans in fact. Don't change a thing. People in the US will like your accent and probably be nicer to you than they would otherwise (we generally find Europeans fascinating and exotic).

  • I think your accent is lovely, and you speak great English, but I notice immediately that you're not a native speaker. I can't tell if your accent is more Swedish or Iranian, but you make enough minor (and harmless) errors that a native English speaker can discern quickly that your native language is neither English nor Western European. As a quick example, you forget the definite article before "U.S" (it should be "the U.S."). There are more signs, but you sound lovely, so don't worry.

  • In my opinion i think most Americans find accents really cool and wish they had other countries accents because the ''American'' accent is kinda boring unless you grew up in the south! I have a few Swedish friends and the first time i met them i seriously thought they were English... lol i caught flak from that one lol! But you do sound American! You kinda have your own accent.

  • Americans love accents. Don't lose yours.

  • @Sw33tGaPeach Great way to put it!

  • If you open up your cheeks when you speak (think keeping your tongue flat and wide) instead of narrow and off the tip of your tongue, that should make it just right :)

  • You are so fine!!

  • if you move to the states... don't try to change your accent, because every part of America has a diifferent accent... u'd fit right in.

  • 4 languages! impressive

  • You seem pretty clear I and I can see how people not from the US would think you were from here. But there are some subtle things. Some of your vowels are shaped slightly differently. Also when you ended and said "I see you when I see you" this is a great America phrase, just make sure to add the because it's "I'll see you" as in "I will see you". 'I' sounds different 'I'll' - people will notice that. Also depends on what part of the states you wan to imitate. I say do generic western.

  • For me it's perfect.. But people born and raised in America can easily say where you're from, cos the stresses and pauses, and the words they use to get the flow are unique to them..

  • your accent is great, but you seem to have trouble syncing your lips to your voice. that might throw some americans off.

  • im trying to learn japaneese.....i got

sami masan, agoga wakade mas ka?

    witch means

exuse me, do you uderstand english?

    lol

  • @KyuubiTV Your spelling is kind of off...it should be "sumi masen, eigo ga wakari masuka?" ^^

    すみません、英語(えいご)が分(わ)かりますか?^^

    がんばってくださいw

  • Americans do not have accents but that is so cool that you can speak so many languages

  • @Ioluvhorses I'm sure that Americans that can't speak don't have accents... But I'm pretty sure those who can speak do have one...

  • stop it with the chitty chat just give me the kitty cat and i will give it back

  • enough with the jibber jabber TAKE IT OFF

  • You over explain things

  • r u already in the us? if yeah then hit me up cuz I feel that we belongs together

  • You can speak Farsi? What you, sucking a pashtun?

  • A lot of the things you say sound "American" enough but I can still tell you are from Europe. Keep working on it! You're almost there!

  • you say like alot so your fine damn fine hahaha

  • Yeah I agree with the others. No one really should care about your accent especially if you can speak english so flawlessly. Think about the difference between a New York accent (what I have) and a Southern accent. There is a bigger difference between those two than your accent to an "American accent". This country was founded by many different people from all over the world, so anyone who truly cares about you having an accent has seemingly lost the true American tradition.

  • hahha its sufficient to pass for an american accent, really, its truely good...but i can tell you come from europe instantly...its like a sore thumb but thats true for anyone that speaks a native language, like if i were to learn sweedish and i talked to you in sweeden you would be able to tell iam not from sweeden at all haha! subtle nuances dear, you speak the american accent wonderfully!

  • I'm probably too late, but anyways. If you move to California people won't really mind that you say "Like" like all the time. And we like people with accents! It's also a pretty good conversation starter.

  • i "LIKE" your accent

i really like it but you saying too much like.

  • I don't think anyone cares about accents in the US unless you're going to be in really rural area. You speak English perfectly.

  • Your English is fine. Your accent is barely there. Your relatives are giving you a hard time. You don't look that Persian though. Are both of your parents Iranian?

  • Well played miss, well played. You could fool an Iowan such as myself (Not always easy, we have a very plain accent, and I pride myself in my foreign accents). There are subtle clues here and there, but overall you have a wonderful American accent :D Enjoy your move and I hope you enjoy it.

  • Very american!

Hard to notice, but you do have European accent here and there. For example in these places:: "I think I already do." "And....."

Why do you want to speak like american anyways if you can make everybody understand what you say?

  • You can't really work on an accent. It develops subconsciously when you're around other people who speak the same way.

  • Hm. I haven't heard a Swedish accent. It sounds very similar to a Latin accent. But you could work on it a bit. It's not real heavy, but you definitely can tell it's not 100% "American". But then again, there are many different American accents, so yeah. Great job for knowing 4 languages though! I only know 1.5 (English and a little Spanish) it's been a year so you should upload another video if you think it's improved or something! :)

  • I don't know. I personally find you quite irritating. I imagine that obtaining an American accent would only amplify your annoyingness? I dunno, just my opnion, I dont like you. :)

  • Sometimes the swedish shows through, but i think it sounds amazing! i can understand you perfectly and I really like how you speak. god job!

  • @Peom1 - You're very good. For now, all I notice is the 'impordant' other people have mentioned and your r's. You're pronouncing them with the tip of the tongue, which is common for English language learners, and it often takes them a while. You want to pronounce it on the flat of the tongue, with the back of the tongue slightly retracted and/or tense, and the tip relaxed and on the floor of your mouth. Experiment with degrees of retraction and tenseness, and listen to Texans. Good work! :)

  • You don't sound American, but I can understand what you're saying and it's not really a big deal.

  • It's okay. like you say "impordent" for important the d is too soft to be american. Its gotta come from the throat not the toung

  • "LIKE LIKE LIKE LIKE LIKE LIKE LIKE" LOOOOOOOOOOL =D

  • Well you re putting like after everything u say, thats not really considered proper english, but it'll do=) and sense we'll be having sex its ok anyway.

  • Yeah, you've done the accent very well :) I couldn't distinguish, based on accent alone, you from a real american.

the only thing is like the commenter 2 below me said, the fluidity is off, the flow of it all. But that's a hard thing to emulate, of course.

  • I can tell you're from another country immediately. What were you hoping for? Flawless? Character is more important than accents.

  • @helpAHHHH don't be so rude, she just thinks it's important to speak like a proper native, and she's done very well at it.

  • @pjnlsn Why must people be so fucking self-righteous on the internet. Everything I said is very straight forward and not rude. To the girl in this video: don't come to america. You'll have to deal with self-righteous scumfucks all day long. It's not worth it.

  • @helpAHHHH It was a little hostile. Which I don't think you should've been.

She just thinks it important to speak like a proper native, like I said, and you shouldn't judge her, because like I said she's done a good job.

  • @pjnlsn I disagree with you. Is that ok? I disagree. I don't think she's done a good job. I'm judging her. I'm arguing with you. What a great day this is turning out to be.

  • @helpAHHHH you mean you don't think she's done a perfect job ("I can tell you're from another country immediately. What were you hoping for? Flawless?")

  • @helpAHHHH Well I already said it wasn't perfect. What it is, is better than you or I could do if we tried to speak another country's language in a native accent.

  • you got the american accent down, but your fluidity isn't perfect. but i'm not expecting it to be perfect considering you're from sweden. in other words, amazing american-english!

  • The british accent is very popular here iin the US back in school the plays used to be based on England with the british accent. Good job though you sound american and you say like alot like the Florida americans

  • I thought you sounded very, very American :)

  • dont try to change youre accent because your voice is naturally pretty and i (an american) wish i had a cool accent (like yours) it makes you more unique

  • you sound american to me

  • You look and sound American to me.

  • you say "like" kinda funny

  • Well you say "like" enough to be an American girl

  • @hockeybuff1717 LMAO lol good one i agree

  • Hey I'm from Texas and I think you speak perfect English with American accent, maybe two words in the video that stood out but I suggest you leave it as it is, it sounds sexy lol

  • i think you speak very good English, but I can hear an accent in there. Don't change a thing though, it's perfect.

  • the voice is not lined up with your mouth. but really good vid

  • Gut Americano Accent !

  • Don't change your accent honey. You sound sexy, and that's all that matters.

  • @RSSsailing

yeah, i'm pretty sure being sexy isn't all that matters in a person.

  • I think you have a really pretty accent! You sound American sometimes and sometimes Swedish in my opinion. But you have a beautiful accent so I wouldn't be worried about it. : ) But good luck on improving your American accent! And enjoy your move to America. : )

  • Comment removed

  • Your accent is fine. There are just little telltale signs that you are not a native speaker. For instance the word "important": you pronounced it "impordunt" whereas most Americans pronounce it "importnt" (don't vocalize the last vowel).

  • Its choppy, the 'i' sound in like sounds funny as does the way you enunciate important, you don't emphasize the same syllable and the first 't' sounds more like a 'd'. But much more understandable than some of my professors who've been in the US for years. A native English speaker would notice your accent, but its good, is that a Michigan shirt? Go Blue!

  • your accent is fantastic. Once you move to America it will become perfect. Ha, it's better than mine and I'm from Michigan ;D

  • Why do you want to talk like an American? I hear people from other countries say that all the time (I'm American). I can tell you right now, as long as you're understandable (and you are) people will like you more if you have a little accent. We love diversity!

  • Dont try and sound like everyone else because Americans feel important when they talk to someone foriegn LOL

  • You speak the language well, but it is noticeable that you are not from the US. Accents are generally seen as sexy because they're "exotic", and we will appreciate that you know the language, and don't care so much about you having an American accent :-)

  • i wouldnt worry about trying to change your accent.. it will probably change naturally and people like a different accent over here.. at least in texas..

  • Nice. You have a problem with D's, though. Would seems to come out more like Woul. Aside from that, no problems.

  • its very good but i can feel that you have an accent, which is good in US people love it

  • I love my american accent, why do people need to make fun of others. Lame! And someone said we don't spell well or is good with grammer...come on!? Really...people are so prejudice. I judge people by their original self not,not by looks or accents. And not from what country you're from. And you don't sound completely american. But you're pretty close:)

  • Comment removed

  • @orijinalbeauty Your grammar sucks! do me a favor and do not attempt to represent the rest of us because clearly you are not a bad American with your 1st grade attempt at "grammer" and know that your sentence should have ended in "prejudiced" not prejudice. Little Swedish Girl...you rock! America loves accents but hates Americans who can't speak their own language eloquently or at the very least...dislike those who do not make a mild attempt at articulating themselves.

  • Your accent sounds better than 95% of Americans to be honest. I'd not have assumed you'd come from outside of America if I were to have a conversation with you in public. You're good.

  • id cut the "likes" out when telling a story, but besides that your pretty good.

  • keep accent i like it

  • I think your accent is better than this girl's watch?v=AoDeX3laZ6o

She sounds like she is in a little bit of pain.

  • i'd hit it

  • 99%--go for it

  • i could tell you weren't naturally american but i gotta say you have a pretty solid american accent and your english is very good, and yeah as for speed you seemed fine to me

  • Oops, there was enough distortion on my iPod touch that I thought you said "Norwegian parents" when you in said "Iranian parents."

  • You had an American accent when you were imitating your relatives. Also, Norwegian would be pronounced with a hard "j." You might get a kick out of different accents from the Midwest.

  • Your accent is cute. As for an American accent, it really depends on where in America you live. Immersion would help, and I figure you're probably somewhere in the US by now. Many Americans will admit to being lousy at grammar and spelling, and they are. So, how about just being yourself?

  • YOU....SPEAK....FARSI?! THANK GOD I'M NO LONGER ALONE :D xP

  • Your english is definitely really good! At times, your attempt at an american accent was very good, other times.. not so much. Overall, it's not too bad. People will really be able to tell it's not a real accent, but it's getting there. I think that your accent is very nice though. <3 Also.. Ignore the people saying that you're talking too slow.. because I don't understand.. what do they do, talk 1,000 words a minute? Your speed was fine.
