hi davie, I was wondering if you do a dvd or something, its for my father-in-law. We have both just started to tie flys as of christmas 2009, and he does not have the internet, and i dont know if it is possible to download them.
Great fly as always, this one inspired me to tie up a similar dressing one a size 22. A few went into the trash bin before I got it looking half way presentable. Much thanks, and happy holidays.
I started fishing with my grandfather aged 4. I have loved it all my life (38) and I have just started tying. Your videos are inspirational, they set the bench mark as far as any other videos I can find. Thank you and please keep uploading they have helped so much.
thanks for your speedy responce davie and answering my next question about capes that you answered for branddollarz there expensive so thanks for your time and help from all us tyers
I bought my cape many years ago from a company that has stopped trading. If I was to look for a new cape then I would prefer saddles more than necks, so a bronze grade Whiting will normally tye small and a Metz Micro-Barb will do as well but if you can look at the cape before you buy then do this..
If you have Cree that tyes 14s and 16s then use this as I said it works really well too..
nice looking fly I think this fly would work great for some of are very shy trout in the little creek. But not so much in the big rivers in MO but I will still try it. 5/5
I used to always use an eraser (rubber) to remove the herl from the quill but I now use a toy rubber disc that came free in a box of cornflakes it has much more grip and doesn't wear like an eraser..
Nice fly. Have you ever heard of a trout fly called a 'cod & chips'. I have looked for it on the internet high and low but can't seem to find any pictures of it.
nice!!!

Great looking fly.
What do you use to remove the herl from the stem? I have problems doing that.
