$55k+ for a car that looks like it's from 2001. Underpowered engine, 4 speed transmission, FWD, lack of modern features and outdated design. If this is the American standard then European and Japanese cars still hold the title. 55k will put me in a slightly used certified BMW 750i.
@7477238 my thoughts entirely - My 2006 x-type has all this and a lot more, with out looking like it was styled by a bloke with a sharp pencil and ruler and filed with the type of plastic you find trash bins made of.
@krono22002 How is your X Type in terms of reliability? I know you can't really compare the 2 but my Uncle had an XJ8 X300 and man did he have problems with it. From the engine needing rebuilding due to the nikasil lining to all sorts of electrical gremlins. When working it was great and rode as smooth as glass
Aside from the Restyled Interior and Exterior....the power train is carried over from the Previous deville....the 4 Speed Auto is abit dated,but must have a steep OD since your doing 80 MPH with the RPM's at 2K...overall nice car...just could use a little improvement.
Since 2001 and present the shape of the vehicle still havent change one bit.. why? Cut the top of a 2001 dts add the sunroof..add navigation antenna..add seat warmer...now its a 2011? bullshit!!
@MrManny7426 the front and back look different, same with the interior. They are kinda similar, but different. By the way my 2000 DTS has a sunroof :P
If you like this you mind as well buy a 06 DTS. They basically are the same exact thing, just a few minor changes. All the features this guy listed has been there since 01. Any DTS car has heated seats, blinker in the mirrors,etc.. the older Devilles are better made though!
By far one of the ugliest cars on the road....this car can't compete with the hyundai sonata's, cadillac cts or srx, Honda accords, no car out there.....i dont even know why they still make this car because it is but ugly

Yes, I think they kept the technology simple for the older people they are marketing this to. The 4 speed auto is without excuse, though.
