Please please bring her to visit Australia where she can climb some proper hills. We dont count 1 in 75 as a bank here, she would eat those up of course but would be amazing to see her on the 1 in 33s of the Blue Mountains just west of Sydney.

If I won the lottery..a large jackpot, i'd walk down there right now and offer to donate the money to get her in steam, along with her own rake of coaches with the same livery on. Seeing that go up Shap would be lovely.
Yes, I have seen them and they are excellent. I feel that the National Lottery could do a lot more than they do to support steam locos and get a little more respect from the public instead of spporting lost causes!!!!
I've just come across this great piece of video(it's wonderful!!). What a shame we do not have 'Hamilton' back on the main line in her best guise of BR Green. I cannot see any point in rebuilding her as 'streamlined'... yet, still as a Museum Piece. I can only hope that one day 46229/46233/46235 will be reunited and in their right liveries as working Locomotives.
Streamlined red and gold is her 'right' livery. Blame ze germans and the second world war for removing it. Not that I dislike how she looks here. It's nice to have one of each at the moment, a steamliner, a purple, and a green! :-)

I agree, its a disgrace that all that money has been wasted restreamlining her for her to rot away inside a bloody museum.
Just look at Hamilton on this vid - thats what i call a real Duchess. And yes, it would be utterly amazing to see 46235 working again.
