  • solo's missing

  • Terry is he the one who passed away.

  • LOVE THIS GROUP

  • the late, great Terry Kath!!! We of the world are truly blessed to have been blessed with that voice!

  • Danny on this piece, those 32nds are just crazy.

    Chicago ftw

  • Have always thought this was a cool song. Frank

  • New favorite song!!!

  • New favorite song!!!

  • No one grooves like Terry.

  • The best. He rocked!!!

  • Superb bass-playing. Terry Kath's vocals are timeless.

  • Growing up listening to Chicago I always wondered how bands with that many members survived the club circuit when they were starting out. They were basically playing for nothing dividing up a tip jar. At least I would have to think so. I am still trying to figure out what the 25 or 6 to 4 song is all about. I have found a few articles on it but nothing concrete. I have wondered for over 30 years. Anybody ?

  • @browsemusicvideos Most FAQ about Chicago & Peter Cetera by far. It's about writing a song in the middle of the night, and he's not sure what time it is. It's "25 or 6 to 4 [a.m.]" Bobby Lamm wrote that song. He was big into numbers in Chicago's early years: "Questions 67 & 68" "Poem 53".

  • Great video one of the best I have seen.

  • Really An Excellent Slide Show Along With What It Is! An Excellent Song!..in Misery and Suffering the Greater powers in Communion! "Make Me Smile!"

  • I commend CHICAGO for being in the business for over 40 years, and I'd like to thank Robert Lamm, Walt Parazaider, Lee Loughnane, and Jimmy Pankow for keeping the tradition alive. The current lineup is great, however, it's just not the same without Danny Seraphine's drums, Peter Cetera's soaring tenor and bass playing, and Terry Kath's guitar licks and soulful singing.

  • @MrJayBBluejay I agree, that the songs do not sound as wonderful as the original versions. The current lineup however is probably the best in terms of who has been replaced. I am going to see them in concert in a few weeks, and though I would have really loved and preferred to see the original group, I am totally looking forward to seeing them as they are now!!!!!

  • excellent song........one of my favorite............just makes me smile

  • loved it thank you

  • Excellent Excellent Excellent made video

    And Terry Kath (sigh)

    ....did I mention Excellent?

  • My all time favorite Chicago song...Terry Kath was an awesome singer...RIP

  • I love Chicago.

  • Cry sweet tears of joy touch the sky......sweet lyrics!!

  • One of the best and most soulful vocal performances from a guitar player you'll ever hear! Not doubt one of the great one.

  • Kath's voice is what made Chicago great!

  • @cindernation12

    That is the truth!

  • Whoa, I didn't know Terry Kath toured with Jimi Hendrix. Two legends together, damn, I was too young to see that.

  • The one person that hit the dislike button DID NOT MAKE ME SMILE.

  • Who's the moron that doesn't like this?

  • @WhiteArmy1918 They have lives that don't allow them to sit around all creating this stuff?

  • Great song! Great band! Great video!!!! ....... Great memories!

  • i was 13 when I first heard this - Terry was just the most awesome singer!

  • @timetravel21217

Me too, unfortunately, I'm 14 now and I wish I had discovered this a LONG time ago.

  • Amazing video

  • Chicago's early work is amazing especially considering how young they were. They were a fortunate collision of diverse talent. The tragic early loss of Terry Kath changed this group in unknowable ways.

  • ein schöner Kanal mit

    wunderschöner Musik,

    Gefällt mir sehr gut ,

    herzliche Grüße aus

    Dortmund, bassman

  • @WhiteArmy1918 Thank you my friend, all we need is PASSION when we made a video...

  • I love this song, great band nice one

  • sounds like jimi

  • thank you so much for playing this version, i was 11 in 1970,and this is the song i remember on the radio. terry kath was awesome.

  • Great song! It's a crime that Chicago is not in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

  • @MrGeno502 I agree.

  • @MrGeno502

This is a scandal. Great songs, great band. I didn´t understand this.

  • @MrGeno502 Yeah, I'm a more than a little ashamed to live in the same state as the RR Hall of Fame. It's probably not worth the two hour drive from Columbus let alone Chicago. I'd rather watch Youtube videos of all my favorite bands anyway. Thanks people for uploading all of these great videos!

  • Terry Kath owned....the band's best years were with him.

  • The real Chicago.

  • blood sweat n tears/ chicago two of the best horn bands of the times what else can you ask . can't find bands like them today what changed

  • yes it is terry

  • EPIC!!!! Terry's voice is so powerful.

  • THE best SONG of ALL time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Terry at his best and Danny on drums!

  • Wonderful montage. Thanks for this.

  • Terry Kath was brilliant. Had no idea Jimi Hendrix had such high regard for his guitar work. Terry was such a soulful singer. After Terry died Chicago wasn't the same. It's about time we had uploads for my most favorite Chicago song EVER.

  • Terry Kath was the heart and soul of Chicago. His death was a tremendous loss to the band, his family friends and fans. Check out the first four albums, they were absolutely amazing and his input can never be forgotten.

  • Terry Terry my sweet Terry. What a voice. nothing ,nothing like it. sorry u had to leave us way to soon. u were Jimmy's favorite. I bet u r making beautiful music up there together.

  • Yes that's our beloved Terry Kath. That is a totally awsome voice. Even today it has as much, if not more relevance.

  • Love hearing Terry Kath sing Make Me Smile. Good stuff.

If you know, what happened to the 1969 live version that played on Youtube? It was the best. Now its gone.

  • @mojoidol The one where Kath grabs a couple cups to drink first??? That was probably my fav. vid. bummer

  • @Trashfished Yep, thats the one. How could anyone force Youtube to take it down? Its the best live version of this song. Long live Terry Kath!!!

  • Is this Terry Kath singing lead vocal?

  • @maida1982a Yes, he is!!!

    Great Terry!

  • @maida1982a Great 60s song, typical of groups like Chicago and Blood Sweat and Tears. Chicago lost their edge in the 70s without Terry Kath's vocals and guitar heard here

  • @maida1982a YES!

  • @maida1982a YES

  • @maida1982 You can always tell Terry because his voice is so deep. He could really belt out the soul. It is said he's the person who introduced Jimi Hendrix to he Wah wah pedal during their days together at Whiskey A Go Go and touring together. He's an outstanding, underated guitarist.

  • @maida1982a

The great Terry Kath, what a loss.

  • @maida1982a Hell yes!

  • @maida1982a Terry Alan Kath (January 31, 1946 – January 23, 1978),

  • Never appreciated Peter Cetera's playing before; it really comes through on this post. Thanks!

  • Ha da molto che non sentivo questa canzone mi mancava

  • Thank you very much for this good song !

  • how did you get that 45 jacket???? you must own it. what a treasure.

  • I love Chicago! This is such a treat! I love this video. Thanks, David. ^_^

  • Terry Kath...taking wayyyyy too soon

  • IM ALONE IN THE DARK

  • Chicago, at this phase was completely unique!

  • Its a sick breakbeat

  • The famous piece of music doesn't fade away.

Cheers, Carina

  • @carina2244 Thanx Karina.

Si davvero un bel pezzo, un classico all'altezza di "25 or 6 to 4"! :)

Diciamo che i Chicago degli anni '70 sapevano il fatto loro.

    Grandi composizioni e arrangiamenti pazzeschi!

  • Cool song! keep posting.

  • bellissima!!!
