Reprinting of old Nazi newspapers in Germany

Is there not freedom of the press in Germany? I would love to get english copies of these papers, not because i am a NEO-NAZI, but to learn more about what life was like in NAZI Germany It's difficult to imagine how a nation came under the spell of a man who professed to be brutal. I think these papers would give great insight to what it was like to be a German citizen in the NAZI era.

@mobilechief The Bush administration was bad, and I think he should be tried as a war criminal, but wasn't Hitler and his administration wasn't the NSDAAP. He did, however, manage to get the country behind his invasions, so to a point, the comparison is valid.

@rfe8nn2 My overall point was to disagree with this person and point out that while Bush was bad by US standards, he was certainly no Hitler and his administration was certainly not the NSDAP! As for us being so damn nice, ask a victim or in US euphemism speak, collateral damage victim. The US twice screwed over the Iraqi people, first when they encouraged the population to revolt in 92 and then let Saddam go back and punish those people, then again in 03 when we destroyed their country.

But if we were living under those conditions, I would hope someone from the outside would help us out, even if it means suffering from bombs. Even if my life was hard, but I had my family, I think I would be angry if the people who were "freeing" me, happened to "accidentally" kill my family members or in some cases, whisk them away to foreign lands in a jail cell being tortured with no legal counsel, no charges and no notification. And now it's spilling over here, the 4th amendment basically went out the door over the summer by a supreme court ruling on an Indiana law.

Conventional oil peaked sometime between 2005-2010 and they knew that was coming and it is believed that 10mb/d of oil could be produced cheaply in iraq and can help make up for the lost production in places like the north sea and cantarell etc.

I love this country, but that doesn't mean we don't make mistakes and that crooked men don't sometimes occupy our highest gov. Look at FDR, he had no regard for the constitution. There are a lot of brutal dictators in world, this one just happened to a) Be unable to develop the massive oil resources of Iraq and b) wanted to sell it for Euros

The Bush administration rallied the people in Iraq as if we were going to take their backs, and then after they spoke and acted out against Saddam H. and his Bath party, we didn't back them up and a great deal of them were imprisoned and or executed. While it was certainly better for the US economy to have simply pushed him back into his territory, it was a long-term mistake.
