  • Taekkyon V?

  • This guy is the master!

  • Go Grand Pa

  • Fake history

  • the guy can stand on one leg. That is pretty impressive for a 91yrs old guy. I havent seen a lot of folks in this age group who can do that. He isnt dead of a drug over dose or a druggie like some of the UFC folks. Sorry but no sorry,,,,,,,, a true martial art teaches you discipline and self respect not brutality. This guy is a true master to me.

  • WHEN I POSTED MY COMMENT IT WAS ONLY A DAY OR SO AGO, BUT THE PAGE SAYS A MONTH! LOL

  • the best is the music!

  • yo , this guy has some good taekkyon . if i ever make it to his level i'm going to start off my class in a serious voice saying ' i have one question . . . ' then get all rowdy and stuff and say ' can you . . . DANCE !!! ; D ' and have the assistant play my music while i demonstrate .

  • Taek Kyon was the roots for Hwangdo and later Taekwondo. Saying Taekwondo is a sport and not a Martial Art is like saying JuiJitsu or Judo is a sport and not a Martial Art..or boxing is a sport and not an art. Just because we seperated it from it's true meaning and way of life doesn't change the fact it is a Martial Art.

  • @Durkie52 you are right, this guy don't know what is saying

  • wtf? it took him to be a master to do that?? Was hoping to see more than that...:/

  • @dreddmartyr don't worry that's not everything he's got. He was about 80 or 90 something years old at that time, that's why he couldn't really show you everything, but he was very skilled when he was younger according to masters who knew him when he was younger.

  • Music is catchy!

  • Name of the song please??? o genere?

  • He was 91 when this was filmed in 1994.

  • Thanks for bringing this interview to YouTube. Can you translate it, or give a basic sense of what the Master is saying?

  • Seems like he'd excel in a dance contest. LOL

Not dissing his art, but those were some killer dance moves for an 80 year old dude.

  • @PerfectChaosZeta Don't disrespect him. If he wasn't alive and didn't keep the Taekkyun moves, then Taekkyun wouldn't have survived. He was the last Taekkyun master who saved TAekkyun.

  • @Minsang1st Hey, like I said, killer dance moves. Shit's totally cash.

  • @gundrag000

It's funny that you say you know more Japanese than I do, because, well I am Japanese (but I currently live in the US.)

I could counter-argue every point you made in an intelligent conversation. However, given that you've already made it clear to anyone who reads your comments that you are clearly unstable, I don't think my argument is necessary.

I hope you have a nice day. Sounds like you could use some.

  • and here is a story about taekkyon .. the someone who learned taekkyon knocked out two japanese soliders who have katana. (his name is Baekbeom Kim Gu.) anyway japan is psycho country. I don't understand why present japan is good manners country. well.. you may say korean eats dog but japanese tried to kill off all of traditional animals in korea. and real human babies. I guess this world is just money, power, win is all.

  • @gundrag000

Excuse me, but I must disagree about "money, power, win is all"

After the world war II, Japanese have made an oath to not be in any war (or even have a legitimate military). Since then, they have been sticking to that philosophy. It's no surprise that the world has come to appreciate Japan's effort in being peace oriented. It is true that winners dictates the "truth" in history. However, Japan's current reputation was created by none other than it's own efforts in keeping peace.

  • @shot87 becuz they killed and detroyed every cultures of other asia countries except japan. that's it. and it is why japan is good reputation. japan's culture was poor than every asia countries. they were just psycho in asia history. and they couldn't win a sea korean general who had 13 ships with 300 ships. they were just psycho race. here is no even a asian who likes red color. it is not culture. it is murdering. they have murdering. so they tried to kill every asia. and they killed all.

  • @shot87 and they are good country than all asia countries. but if the south korea ends this cold war, korea will be best country in this world. you don't know how superb korea was. korea never tried to kill out other weak race. just you are faggot and same psycho. so you are trying to hide every truth like that without any knowledge. did you say about the efforts ???? how fucking funny. there is no efforts. power and money is all. and.. do you think this world has good justice for all people ?

  • @shot87 this world is still bad world at all. this is bad shit at all than any planet. and all you have stupid shit head. and money is all. aren't you ?.. it is common sense. money is all and many people's mouth is all. the someone who has money and most people's mind is the jesus in this earth. you don't need to be smart to take many people's mouth and mind and money. how good skills to fake all people do you have. even every efforts exist to fake all humans. I am saying this earth's truth.

  • @shot87 and I know asia history than you as hell. you are just troll. you are same shit psycho who said Denmark has 10,000 history. plz tell me same thing that USA has 50,000 history. please.

  • @shot87 and I saw too many stupid ants who want to make that japan is a good country.

    ok.

    simply we can compare it

the japanese and the korean who makes video on youtube.

here is many japanese than korean.

and they made too many trolling and bad video about other country's history and race.

it proves how mad race is japanese. what a bloody race. killing out other race is all their interesting. and ...

also I met many japanese than you. also I know japan than you as hell.

    I kno

  • @shot87 also I met many chinese than you.

just cut your neck and suicide. I don't want to say "shut up" to you.

you are fucking stupid and crazy. just kill yourself.

and I met too many trolls on youtube than you. brainlesss trolls have no other interesting except to steal someone's " time "

I never answer about the next of your comment. becuz I know you will never read even a word of my talking.

just you should kill yourself becuz you tried to trolling in here without knowlege.

  • @shot87 just die. even you don't need to study. I don't want to say that " plz read some books in all your life " to you. becuz I met too many trolls. I think I met 99,999 trolls on youtube for 1 year. just really I want to kill some troll who answers about my holy talking. anyway I never.

    I never

    I nevre

just I never response about any of your comment.

    I just ban you now.

just you are banned by me NOW.

when I see something of you. just I will delete. that's it.

    and it is the end

    EndE

  • he started to learn taekkyon when he was 13y old. but he was real good at bow than taekkyon when he was kid but he started to learn taekkyon than bow. and there was several kinds of taekkyon style. the one is real fighting taekkyon and another one is non-fighting taekkyon 'kid taekkyon, adult taekkyon'. and the fighting taekkyon's (for self-defense) name is Gyeolryeon taekkyon. (결련택견) (but the japan prohibited to learn Gyeolryeon taekkyon when korea was under japan. japan is psycho country.)

  • jajajajajajajajajajajajajajaj y mas jajajajajajajajajaj

    jjajajajajajajajaja and more jajajajajajajajajaj

  • this old sir is performing brazilian samba?

  • great intro.

  • there is a wide range of highly refined arm and hand movements . . . He just is not showing those techniques here. Just the basic of the basic footwork.

  • EY HE IS DANCING THE CHA CHA CHA

  • Would appreciate if there's subtitles. Anyway, this seems like a martial art that favours the young and the fit. :)

  • @lesterado The 80+ years old guy probably gave you that idea, right? ;-)

  • @klaasb

    nice tornado kick at 2:46

  • well. actually, kunfu originated from shaorinji. and that come from India. it is useless where it is come from

  • you bullshiting mate, teinzl

  • Comment removed

  • this all came from kung fu

  • Comment removed

  • chinese martial arts are far older than either jap or korean so if 1 was the others forerunner it had to be chinese kempo aka kung fu.

  • In no way whatsoever is this like kung fu...plus theres different styles of kung fu plus almost all martial arts have some similarities

  • @swichboy47 Are you sure?

  • Thanks, Seth! Just to add...the ancient book 'Han-Dan-Go-Gi' which contains history of the Han Kuk dynasty, makes reference to the training methods of Sun-Do. The Han-Kuk dynasty stretches back to 3898 BC. Before this time, and documented in the Han-Dan Go-Gi, Chinese rulers imported the Korean Sun Do masters and studied under them.

There is much more documentation coming to light at this time. For further info, please read Grandmaster Kimm Yong-Sup's book 'An Oriental Path to Holistic Health.

  • not to steal anyone's thunder....Kouk Sun Do is the oldest Korean martial art. It originated close to 9800 years ago in what is now northeast China. There are a few clips related to this art on YouTube.

A Grandmaster demo'd the strength of this art in 1970 @ Japan Expo. It appeared live on Japanese TV. The master breaks enormous jagged stones , then sits in meditation, unharmed, within a raging bonfire.

  • there were no organised martial arts that long ago. There would very little known about any culture anywhere at that time.I know for a fact thats bullshit lad.

  • The only way you'd know for sure whether there were organized martial arts at that time is if you were there, at that time.

Conversely, a lineage can be kept alive independent of a culture. Think of the hermits who live for hundreds of years in the mountains and transmit their knowledge to a few. Those who are part of the lineage have no need to be organized. The term 'martial' does not always entail a dojo, or similar. Calling BS is your own limitation, lad.

  • i havent seen too many dinosaurs lately but I know from all the scientific evidence they were there. There aint any evidence of any martial arts being practiced anywhere in the world from 10,000 yrs ago. There are artefacts depicting egyptian wrestling from several thousands yrs ago but nothing near 10,000.

  • You are stuck in the idea of public display and visibility, and the idea of what martial means. In my experience, 'martial' includes the highest form of the healing arts and it is also the path which human beings must follow in order to reach their capabilities.

While the evidence of dinosaurs is ubiquitous, those on the martial path which I have described number just a few, and those few do not advertise publicly.

  • none of which has anything to do with there being a korean martial art around 10,000 years ago.

  • I am sure that 10,000 years ago people were already bashing each other's skull ;-) Also on the Korean peninsula. They probably didn't do it the way the old master above demonstrates it, and they sure as hell didn't call it taekkyon or taekwondo and they weren't selling any dan certificates ;-)

  • I don't want to take any more focus from the master in this thread, but would like to mention that the ancestors of the Korean peoples originated in the area of what now is Siberia. Several weeks ago, a well preserved ancestor was discovered in Siberia, and he was found to contain the genetic material of Korean people.

  • @klaasb no this old man represents the last 2000 years of Taekkyeon.

  • It certainly does if you have direct experience of the art.

  • the song ruins the vid =[

  • the dude in this video is like 91 at the time?!

not bad for an old man!!

  • could anyone translate please?

  • thats why i dont mess with korean people.

i can only imagine wat wouldve happend if we did not have guns in the korean war

  • that interviewer guy is soo ugly and funny. His pauses...eeeeh...eeeehhh...eeeeehhhhh, reminds me of porky the pig in luny tunes.^^ haha

  • the beginning was weird n funny XD but still... never judge a book by its cover.. O_O

  • anything works,if u practice it everyday.

its the practicing that makes it a weapon...

dancing much like cap is jus to cover it up from a time when it was outlawed...korea become a vassal state to china/japan many times and much like okinawa dances ,forbidden by the man,to practice...like a nowadays loophole, cant fight but u can dance.

  • Oh, well, sure, but you know, when you are in the roda (the circle of battle for Capoeira), it's not really a game. To be honest, it depends of the nationality of the team, his mentality, et cetera. If you are in France, it's more like a game and you try to not hurt your partner. But in Brazil, in Rio de Janeira, it's more like a street fighting and we can't call that a game and maybe more than a combat art : a real street fight. However, thanks for the answer.

  • Today, you can easily see this art on youtube. But me and some of my friends (capoeirists too), we don't think it's still working against men who practise martial arts like Gracie Ju-Jitsu or Shaolin Kung-Fu. That's why I wonder if this art can be efficient against the different martial arts in the world. I'm sure you can make a KO with this (kick in the dick and it's over), but it's not easy to do that when you are on the floor with you opponent.

  • Stay of the floor ;-)

Taekkyeon is much more a game, where you play tag with your feet and not so much a combat art.

  • @klaasb Wrong.

  • @klaasb it is mostly a game. like mosts martial arts they avoid teaching the old ways. there is a taekkyon called yetbum taekkyon just meaning the old way taekkyon. that teaches deadly techniques trust me, as well as pressure points

  • are you kidding me? this art you are dissing right now is a deadly art... that person in the vid can probably kill you in an instance

  • a "capoeirist" is talkin about wat martial art is effective? lol

  • Well, let's see how is effective the taekkyon on a K1 match or a Cage match and we will see.

I don't pretend that capoeira is the best in certains situations. I think you can make the difference with your abilities.

  • @mpropre767 Just like any other fighting technique, it can be effective, you just need to know how to use it. The dangerous thing about taekkyon is it favors kicks over hand techniques. If you want to get into close range and grappling you would want to practice another art.

  • @mpropre767 capoera isnt much different from taekkyon as it both uses similar footwork. Obviously there isnt much you can do with your opponent when your on the floor but what can Capoera do on the floor as well? Taekkyon doesnt just focus on kicks, it focuses on kicks and throws so just trying to get a taekkyon fighter on the ground may be hard. Taekkyon is considered a really dangerous martial arts and other korean martial arts deprived from it so i don't think those factors really matter.

  • @mpropre767 but then no disrespect but capoeira is just as useless on the floor as this is? and this isnt useless because it incorpirates takedowns and kicks and most things that other martial arts do. also gracie ju-jitsu is great but of you cant take your opponent down then its useless, if a gracie guy came charging in to attack a taekkyon fighter and he caught him with a kick the the fights over gracie guy has lost.

  • @mpropre767 the hard part is getting your opponent to the floor. Royce Gracie fought against opponents who fought without the height of accuracy achieved by this practioners, as well as the facts that during the time of royce gracie striking wasnt as popular and especially not kicks, just punches which made it easy for him to get in close. With the speed and accuracy achieved by taekkyun practioners, it would require speed and reflex of a high grade.

  • @mpropre767 the thing is, tae-kyon stopped being a figthing martial art... just like capoera, it has been adapted to entertain more than pure fight. During the Japanese occupation, the japanese banned tae kyon, because they saw the potential danger as the rebels learned tae-kyon in secret. Now, there is no need for taekyon being aggresive...

  • Is any one able to translate this to english for me as I would really like to know what the master is saying? :) thanx

  • Thank-you , I have just been to your channel and seen vids that i haven't seen before. If you have anything more to tell me I would greatly appreciate it.

  • this was filmed when he was 91 years old.. and he still moved like that

  • taekkyun is one of the beautiful martial art in the world. it has dancing-like movements, defence-oriented, not hurting enemies, looking soft/but powerful, etc.

  • well... this video is from decades ago so

  • Taekkyon was one of the most dangerous martial arts in korea it was desguised in a dancing form

so it was hard to see if someone was fighting

it has been forbidden for centurys in korea

tae kwondo is a sport. Taekkyon is a martial art

  • So that's why taekkyon looks funny, I saw the tournament once on TV, yea, skip the funny steps it is deadly..., is this a part of hwoarangdo? Or it's a separately different art? Some said hwoarangdo is the root of tkd, but taekyyon shows more similarities, anyway, thx for posting

  • to makiti: if you do not know anything, do not say it. taekyun was banned by japanese colonizer because it represents korean identity. i feel grateful that there was only one survivor.

  • Humm... It is really efficient in real fight ?

I know a similar martial art called "Capoeira". It was created by slaves in Brazil. These slaves, by a majority african, created a form based on the kicks, because they can't use their hands, because they were attached to the hands by chains. And they masked their training in a sort of dance (their masters didn't allow them to learn fighting, too dangerous for them).

  • @maktiki

taekwondo is not a sport and if you really think that your kidding yourself. lyoto machida is a through and through taekwondo fighter, you can see it in the way he fights and last time i checked he was holding a belt in the ufc.

  • @levipembroke Lyoto Machida is a Shotokan Karate and not a Taekwondo practitioner. They are similar styles since their roots are the same, but they are not the same.

  • @maktiki WTF taekwondo is a sport, ITF taekwon-do the original one founded by master choi hong hi who was also a master a taekkyon, ITF is a martial art buddy

  • @chrisgeorgegray choi lived in hamgyongdo when taekkyon was only around seoul at that time. he just probably got a peek at taekkyon. and he was born after taekkyon was banned really

  • @kero7642 Choi was born on 9 November 1918 in Hwa Dae, Myŏngch'ŏn county, in what is now North Korea, which was then under Japanese rule.[7] Choi's father sent him to study calligraphy under Han Il Dong, who was also "a master of Taek Kyon, the ancient Korean art of foot fighting"

  • @chrisgeorgegray i doubt you'll ever find much on english pages but if you read korean pages, it's easy to point out barely any taekkyon is in tkd. he studied some seodo thing from han ildong and not taekkyonl. even say he was taught, he would only have watched a few moves. the kicks in tkd are more like karate than taekkyon. if he'd mastered taekkyon at that time and it takes time to master, he would have been arrested by the japanese

  • @kero7642 But the technicality of ITF kicks differ greatly from Karate so there must be some influence from Taekkyon.

  • yeah because Choi Hong gi was student from shotokan karate

  • @karatekai01 yeah? he studied under its founder Gichin Funakoshi but what im saying is there two kicks respectively are completely techinically different.

  • @chrisgeorgegray The twisting kick in ITF is like a Taekkyeon kick, but different. Axe kick is a Taekkyeon kick originally and Taekwondo barrowed it too. As far as I know that is it. The old master really didn't teach just anyone since many people desired to learn from him he was suspicous of their intentions. So, Taekyeon has remained in the shadows, per say.

  • @kero7642 still, itf is quite offensive and the kicks are still different. taekkyon kicks are more like, land your foot upon the opponent and push while tkd tends to be snap and bam. Choi hadn't learned enough taekkyon plus you need the basic sway of taekkyon for a taekkyon.

  • @maktiki You don't know the history of Takkyon and Taekwondo? so, Taekkyon was prohibited in the japonese occupation, and after the second war, they started again but with new tecniques and other changes in this martial art and so Taekkyon turn to be taekwondo.

I assure to u, taekwondo is not just a sport, is a martial art very ofensive if you want it is.

  • @dorphodon That isn't true. Tae kwon do was culled from Japanese Karate. Tae Kwon do guys in Korea all claim Takgeyon as an influence but that is because Takgeyon is an indigenous Korean martial art. The Koreans hate the Japanese so they try to ignore the fact that so much of their modern culture is rooted in Japan. I trained in Takgeyon for two years and I am a Han Dong (their version of 1st Dan) and I also studied Tae Kwon do. TKD in no way borrows from Takgeyon.

  • @TakgeyonBlackbelt You say you trained for two years yet you can't even write down the name properly. And went as far as choosing it as your nickname. Congratulations.

  • @Tschilla Congratulations FUCKHOLE! Guess what? I've seen at least three different romanizations of the word. The hangul one is the only one that matters. DUH well FUCK! But I guess that doesn't mean anything to you as you are probably sitting around watching your Gracie videos and telling yourself you are some kind of badass. I am a han dong in Taekgeyon and again it doesn't matter how it's spellled in English you barebacking queer. I don't have the hangul characters installed .

  • @TakgeyonBlackbelt I was talking about romanization. You said so yourself and I agree that it's only the hangeul that matters. But if you can read hangeul then you can probably romanize it too. Your way of writing it follows a reading of the name I have heard from Americans and not the hangeul. I have no idea why Americans cannot pronounce foreign names properly. But that is beside the point.

Anyway, your comment is truly worthy of the name of a martial arts master... Congratulations... again.

  • @Tschilla Nice way to backtrack asshole. Now after implying to everyone reading this thread that I don't know shit from shinola about TAEKKYON (using your romanization so there aren't any further conflicts) based upon the fact that I couldn't romainize the name to your exacting standardsm, now you say only the hangeul matters and even state that obvioulsy regardless of martial arts dkill, Americans can't romanize. And how did you know I am an American? I could be a Canadian, Australian

  • @TakgeyonBlackbelt wow... just wow... you have some serious problems dude. and you are so wrong. im neither a mr, nor a korean. if i were a korean i wouldnt care shit about romanization because they cant romanize themselves. happy holidays~

  • @Tschilla So first its AMERICANS who can't romanize and now it's all Koreans also? You waffle more often than my waffle machine and I eat em everyday. So you're not Korean and your youtube name is Tschilla. Ok. Whatever. Anyone who reads your original posting can see the hypocricy.

  • @Tschilla Also it's so noble of you to play the victim when it was YOU who started this thing by insinuating that I wasn't what I was claiming to be with regards to Taekkyon simply because I failed to romanize it correctly

Tschilla Wrote- "You say you trained for two years yet you can't even write down the name properly. And went as far as choosing it as your nickname. Congratulations."

THEN, THEN you come back with the statement above suggesting that ALL Koreans can't romanize either???

  • @TakgeyonBlackbelt I didn't know there was a victim here until you mentioned it. And if that makes you happy, yeah, I think about 95% of Koreans can't romanize. Not that anyone cares... except me... so for that very reason you should just be proud of your black belt and not waste any more time replying to my comments.

  • @Tschilla Don't rub the bottle if you dont' want the genie to appear. YOU started all this with your crass comments and inane bablings about romanization from which you are now backpeddling. Not Korean? Well then if so you are probably the worst kind of Korean and that is one with a US passport. I deduced you were in some way Korean based uponyour screen name AND the fact that you singled me out as an American without any indication from me or otherwise about my nationality.

  • @Tschilla After all, what would, say an Iranian, German, etc... care about romanization, Korea, or Americans and Korean stuff? Not a man? Not buying it. Korean women can be every bit as racist and nationalistic as their male peers but they generally aren't proactive about it. Do I have problems? Nope, but I do have lots of memories from my 5 years in Korea and many of those include racist acts and discrimination including but not limited to people spitting on my Korean GF.

  • @Tschilla simply because she was with me. Now I will state right off that MOST Koreans are not like that but there is that small, very vocal minority just as they exist in my country in various forms and they ruin it for everybody. Yes I am proud of my achievements and that is part of the reason I get defensive when someone like you attempts to paint me in a bad light especially after the initial post in question was in no way confrontational or questionable.

  • @Tschilla If this post had accured on some MMA forum where a bunch of meatheads hang out I wouldn't give it a second thought. But I consider youtube to be a little bit above the fray and I don't appreciate ill intentioned jabs especially when I generally go out of my way to be respectful of others, unless of course confronted with a post such as yours.

  • @Tschilla You sir are a classic example of what's wrong with Koreans today. I lived and trained in Korea for 5 years eventually earning a Han Dong in Taekkyon and a 2nd Dan in Hapkido. Contrary to most of my Korean peers in the Tae Kwon Do dojangs, I worked my ass of for those ranks. So Mr korean it really pisses me off when someone like you tries to cast me and my achievements in a bad light. And how do I know you're Korean? Well, that's kind of obvious isn't it?

  • @Tschilla Now I am not going to follow in the flair of your nationalisitc attitude and stereotype all Koreans based on the bigoted comments of a small but very vocal minority that hates Americans due to a severe inferiority complex. The fact remains and you well know that if it weren't for the US military's presence in your little country you'd be eating frozen kimchi from the north.

  • @Tschilla Your hard on for us Americans stems form this "penis envy" of not being able to successfully defend yourselves (nothing wrong with that, not every country in the world can be a superpower) and you take it out on Americans by calling them "dirty foreigners" (despite the fact that korean general hygeine is attrocious) and hating us for the childish and non issue of "contanimating" your "pure blooded" women (which incidentally the Mongols, Chinese, Russians and Japanese have.

  • @Tschilla Which I also might add was in far greater frequency than anything Americans have done owing to the fact that a simple genetic profile of the token Korean reveals genetic markers from all over Asia. So much for the pure blood lines eh? Sure I dated Korean women while I was in Seoul and Pusan. Six as a matter of fact. We all had great relationships and awesome sex. I will ahve to say that Korean women are among the most beautiful in the world and some of the best fucks.

  • @Tschilla That I cannot argue. So Tschilla, why not go buy a 1000 Won soju, take a pack of smokes, grab your girlfriend by the hair and drag her across the floor and lament the fact that so many Korean women are flocking to waygook guys in great numbers. But hey, I gues there's always those Vietnamese gals! Cheers.

  • "Now he belongs to the ages."

  • haha this music is hysterical

  • the master is born in 1893, not the film

  • lol this IS the funniest video on youtube...i wish i could understand what their saying lol

  • yuwwtjube O_O, no ronald mcdonald insanity is better.

  • What's with the back ground music -_-

  • This vedio is like took in 70~80(80 i guess..) and that old man was 91yrs old on that vedio(probably passed away now). He was called "The last Takkyon master of Choseon". Takkyon could expand it's lifespan because of him.

  • in begginning it looked as if he waz pretending to play soccer

  • La musica esta fuera de lugar parece como si fuera de mofa, debieron poner algo mas consono con la investidura de la persona que esta en el video. Song Duk Ki fue el encargado que esa arte no desapareciera.

  • gramps bustin moves lol

  • NICE MOVES HAHAHAHAHAH

  • He's pretty masterful. Look at those steps!

The music in the background is very akin to the feeling of battle!

  • 1.that salsa like music is terrifing and doesn't respect the high dignity of a master...

2.i'd like to read eng subs...

  • I resent that comment; and by the way, it's CUBAN MUSIC!

I'm Cuban and I should know.

They are simply trying to convey the light-hearted nature that is necessary in order to be a consummate fighter.

  • Hmmmm, interesting!!! Source of trouble is asking why U angry? Jokes and ridicules are for right times and right places. Doing those whenever and wherever just makes u a fool even if there are people laughing. They just might be laughing at u. The man u saw in the video is a national treasure of Korea. Making fun of him means no respect and that is just same as ridiculing their culture. Life is fun but it is not full of jokes. Learn more about life bro.

  • wow that master is 91 years old.

  • I'm more disgusted than angry. Reading your comments is like finding shit on the side walk when you're taking a walk.

  • This gentleman has passed away now right? What a sad loss for both the people of Korea and the world.

  • Wow. Capoeira and Taekkyon are similar yet completely different. The people of these arts never made contact, so there is no way possible that anyone "copied" anything.

  • Hey retard this started with you accusing this venerated national treasure of man of copying capoeira like whapanese retard. Get a clue and next time you think about contaminating other people's history and culture with your hick stupidity and ignorance, check your attitude at the door or your disrespect will be dished right back to you.

  • even if he did say something, he had already apologized and with you continuing to be angry with him you are only sinking to his level. Take the apology and take the peace.

  • He didn't apologize at all. Claiming Taekkyon is a copy of Capoiera is akin to claiming England is a copy of the US. It's a boneheaded comment that deserves ridicule.

  • taekkyon is much more older then capoiera

  • oh wow i must have hit a nerve...... why are you getting so offensive im having a discussion over this and your calling me names wtf is wrong with you.... whapanese ninja? i mean seriously is that like a racial remark,,, and jap thats a racial remark too... dude YOUR A RACIST! how can you be a racist if you train in an Asian martial art even moreso be interested in the subCulture of the Koreans...??? i havent embarrassed myself, but you just did... EVERYONE MELONBARMONSTER is racist! BUSTED!

  • I'm a racist if stupidity is a race. Retard.

  • my master trained under him

  • why? im confused is he doing this to the cha cha?

  • not a cha cha cha fucktard its a old korean folk dance which was put into taekkyun when the japanese took over the country and they knew this was dangerous so they banned it and they put the dance moves in it so act like their dancing

  • hey buddy it was a joke dont need to cuss me my friend... but funny thing though thats the same story as capoiera... i see this as another attempt of capitolization of another art from another place... dojoking or mcdojo where you want to blow your hard earned money for crap?

  • ...ok...

  • Both Capoiera and Taekyon is based on a basic dance like movement. The master in the video is demonstrating that the Taekyon steps can be done to even dance music. Koreans have been doing taekyon for over a thousand years. Try to be a little respectful. Being obnoxious only makes you look stupid.

  • im not being obnoxious... again me callin it the cha cha was a joke... dont be so head strung, you being so uptight makes you look like you have no sense of humor... and you can call me stupid all you want your the dumb ass responding to my stupid remarks....

  • You don't have the wit nor comic skills... in any case you obviously have no knowledge in this stuff. Having your facts wrong have nothing to do with jokes.

  • my apologizes your right i dont know what im talking about i have no knowledge in this 'stuff' oh and thats sarcasm... cha cha cha

  • dude, i'm not trying to blast you. if you didn't know anything about taekyeon just admit you didn't and move on instead of acting embarrassed and hiding behind BS excuses. being stubborn and still claiming that Takyeon copied Capoiera or that Takeyon is only a hundred years older and then stupidly claiming you were just joking doesn't work even on youtube and certainly not in real life. Good luck. I think you'll need it.

  • first off your spelling your own art wrong and if this martial art was so deadly and dangerous how did anyone have the ability to stop them from doing it, let alone ban it... you would think to avoid getting occupied by japan and there arts banned they would use the awsome dangerous powers that "taekyun" has... look man it aint a debate... this is a joke and i thought taekwondo was a 2000 yearold art to, well untill they came clean about the fact that the ideas came from the japanese...

  • Hey whapanese ninja, shut the fuck up and stop embarrassing yourself. You're questions are so stupid that even Japs who are actually knowledgable about this stuff would want you to STFU. You're welcome to suck island monkey dick all you want but spare us your white trash logic please.

  • i train both japanese an korean, it started with me asking if the beginning of this was the cha cha.... but you through a fit i mean seriously i respect all that is asian american brazillian, but when i see something that makes me laugh i cant help but to laugh... and if you read any of my other comments i applauded there technical skills with there legs, but i mean i even poke fun with capoeria... if it was so effective they should have used it... instead, in fear, they hid it in a dance...

  • go eat your squirrel son.

  • People in NYC don't eat squirrels. Your white trash family might. You made comments claiming this was a "copy" of capoeira like the idiot that you are. Next time, STFU about things you know nothing about.

  • take no notice, some people cant help being nasty its where they come from if you live in a violent city, swearing and being angry is just a lack of intelligence, life to them is about destroying everything, they take and give nothing in return, they hate everything

  • Taekkyon data of net....small amount

  • i did however see some of the vids and the leg work was cool... but the dancing i mean come on didnt the brzilians already market the heck out of that i dea... i sick of seeing the capitilization of older systems and culture mixing to make it there own... its not right... i see it happen everyday in the states and its sad to see truth slowly slip from the reality of what makes single nature unique.... i have full respect dont get me wrong but geez!

  • this video was made in the 70's or 80's and the man was born in the 1800's. Taekyon outdates Capoeira by a thousand years or so. LOL.

  • that would be a hundred and no it only outdates the age of your mom...

  • Capoeira was created in Brazil around 1600's. Taekyeon have been done since Shilla dynasty in Korea.

  • Dont belive him! he said his wife at the hospital.
