@will01r It's not for intonation, it's so that he can have a longer scale length on the lower strings. Longer scale length = more string tension. It makes it a baritone guitar where it needs to be while retaining an easier string tension for work on the higher strings.

Yes its called a baritone guitar, they are rare and Andy got this one handmade.

@indilune This guitar isn't baritone, it's called "fanned fret", although lots of Baritone guitars are fanned fret, this one is made by Michael Greenfield, and is a standard pitch guitar!

People get very defensive about bands and artists they "discovered" before they got popular - If you feel that strongly about an artist, shouldn't you be pleased more people are "discovering" them for themselves? @illidan10 i think this sounds better. It has a butt-ton more definition. the problem here isn't the guitar, but how it's mic'd. (really...? area mic? Really??). But if you listen beyond the obvious issue caused by that you can hear how warm and defined the guitar actually is.
