It does have a bite to it, but that's part of what I like about it. I usually play more avantgarde/experimental type music that is kind of harsh, so it fits that style well.
the noise is caused when the pedal has low batterys.. its a great pedal! i have it! the only thing that is not cool about it is that you cant do the noising with the repeats if you know what I mean
I found that this pedal is a lot noisier when running power off of anything other than a battery.

@mangafreek With experience. This is THE BEST pedal for rockabilly. I've gotten amazing tones for it with blues, rockabilly, even country.

The only thing i don't like is the noise it produces. Do you have the same problem in your setup with this pedal?

not with the danelectro you must used a danelectro acdc adapter if you don't want any trouble with the sound.
