@mitsub96 you are correct. yes some station may have this issue. but i know that Chesapeake and MidCon Compression which does all the compression for Chesapeake is extremely involved with keeping the environment and surrounding areas safe. there is no venting of gas into the atmosphere and the emissions regs for the compressors are extremely tight as well. he needs to go visit a Chesapeake sight and see all the precautions they have to prevent environmental damage.
@veraduerga Compressor site moved for now. 2 metering stations being voted on next week. With pro drilling laws going thru the senate and house right now, the compressor station may be again be on the table. Thank Lisa Baker.
@NEPAghostrider this is the pro-gasser favorite line being spouted many times , that I've encountered. They love to say that---the anti-s don't have any land or very little. Most of the people in our activist group in Susquehanna County have more than 3 acres, like 20 , 60 , 200 acres of land and some have leased and some haven't , but all concerned about the negative impacts that we are experiencing.
@NEPAghostrider Not only is there nothing in it for them, there is much against them. Things like polluted water, air, traffic, increased crime, and increased housing cost with loss of property value. I have seen the typical person who is making money off the gas industry not caring about their neighbors.
Us here in Minisink Valley NY are dealing with the same problem this is horrible the extent of damage that can be done thank you for the advice and good luck to you as well
There is the Kenneth Davis Elementary School that is near the Arlington TX Compressor Station #1. The nurse on staff needs to be vigilent and report any increase in nosebleeds. She needs to remind the children and staff not to ignore easy brusing and bleeding gums which are warning signs of leukemia. The shool needs to demand a schedule of the blow down events (the planned ones that is.) We think Titan recorded a blow down event at the Compressor Station near Lake Arlington last summer.
Aren't we all ready for technologies that are far better than NEEDING to expand GAS? We do not need to BURN anything to get the electricity, cooling and heating. We have the technologies already, what is needed to is the will to stop those who are making MONEY on these archaic methods and those who foolishly support the old ways because they hate environmentalists and will do anything to oppose those with environmental about these old methods.
Arlington Independent School District in Texas just bought some land near where a compression station is about to be built on East Arkansas Lane...should they do it?
What a joke, this is such an exaggeration. Do real research as opposed to this tree hugger propaganda
