  • easily the best whitesnake song.

  • Go get un Cozy Powell .. Your were the man R.I.P brother....

  • Slide It In was a much better album than that pop record in 1987. Sykes did an excellent job.

  • DAvid Cloverdale is an ICONIC voice....!

  • Love it!!!

  • First time i heard this i said "What Led Zep album is off of"?

  • John Sykes is so effin sexy

  • Damn! I miss the 80's!!

  • Best stripper song ever

  • BLOODY GOOD SOLO!!!!

  • This is great ... I liked him before he got into the ballads. Just like the rockin' stuff he did better.

  • Dirty rock...I LOVE IT!!!!

  • Hell yes, my music ;]

  • Oh Yeah! HOT!!! :)

  • One of the best musical compositions.

  • What does the pearl necklace symbolize?

  • @michaelvj50 a man shootin his hot cum on a woman's chest and/or face. sexy

  • I like this era better than their Tawny Kitaen era albums...too commercial

  • Who fuckin cares what these guys names are or what they look like today or who they fuck etc etc...i come for the music...reguardless of what they do in life..let alone the names

  • The drummer in this vid is Cozy Powell. Aldridge is awesome too.

  • David Coverdale<3

  • Tommy Aldridge... one of my favorite drummers!!! Can I get a 'hell yeah'?

  • This is a straight up perfect sex love song to get laid on the back seat of a car, too bad i never played this song when i had sex on the back seats before

  • Coverdale looks plastic today. With his George Hamilton tan and cake makeup, he's become such a vain old woman. He's got, who, Doug Aldrich and Reb Beach in the band now? Those guys are very good - not just shredders. I hope Tommy 'fucking' Aldridge is still behind the kit.

David's voice is going though... must be why he's so worried about his pose. Saw that thing on Palladia, live a couple, three years ago - band was great, David not so much.

  • lots of fun to this one !!!!!

  • WOW!

  • They're definitely channeling some Zeppelin, though.

  • They're definitely channeling some Zeppelin, though.

  • @AllyKat2100 no but I think I got it so don't ask.

  • he is the only man that could ever even come close to Robert Plant! They still Rock!!!! Love my metal boys!

  • @krjmagnolia3 great white's singer is pretty close

  • @krjmagnolia3 He is a Robert Plant Mk.2 i actually think Coverdale is better

  • @krjmagnolia3 never heard about Steve Marriot? Thats where robert got his style from.

  • @champsinger Great singer. You won't find many people who know who he is in the US

  • What does slow and easy mean?

  • @bigweezey nevermind

  • David gives her a pearl necklace, lol.

  • Classic ... love it!!!!

  • great classic song

  • Happy Birthday David! Thanks for the great music!

  • The best WS lineup, ever.....

  • hell yeeah !!!!!!!!!!

  • Classic !

  • I love this song ... much better than their powerballads

  • coverdale was the late80's version of robert plant!!!!!!!!!!!!! and he KICKED ASS!!!LED ZEP LIVES ON!!!!!!

  • what an amazing song, sykes is great on here to, great lineup, cozy, sykes and murray are all great, i would have thought that they all would do the next snake album, the self titled, cozy didn't play on it, aynsly dunbar played on hit, and his drumming is really great on it, i love cozy, but was suprised at the quality of drumming, i don't think cozy would have been as aggressive on it, aynsly does some superb drumming on crying in the rain, during sikes solo,

  • @vanhalen515084 Took The words outta my mouth when i played vid, This was THE VERY BEST whitesnake Lineup EVER. John Sykes doing squeals on his les paul WAY before zakk Wylde, and Cozy Powell?! OMG nuff said. THIS lineup Should have been the mainstay, Changing to ALDRIDGE, VANDENBURG and SARZO (not taking away from those guys cause They Are as well Legends) Adding them was too much "spit n polish" so to speak. Coverdale let "The BIG Machine" (record lable) have their way with his masterpiece.

  • killer tune brings back good times

  • THIS. IS. MUSIC.

  • i love that song, but what really want the ''poet '' to say this this song?

  • Not a fan of Whitesnake, but Coverdale can sear your flesh right off with his vocals. That alone is why every once in awhile I listen.

  • This is the shit right here

  • @KISSARMY321 Pick up Whitesnake' s " In the Still of the Night " DVD if you don't already have it. I'm tellin' ya' what, it kicks serious ass !!!

  • @ReneeNme Kiss' movie "Detroit Rock City" is amazing too. Check it if you have'nt already.

  • kick ass tune

  • Dude its rob plant!

  • Think this song was ever played on main stage of an Adult Entertainment Center? :-)

  • @thomqkat

    Great Pole-Dancing sound too, isn't it? ;-)

Perhaps when the band was bigger in the mainstream scene, when Rock N' Roll in general was bigger in the mainstream scene, they probably played this kind of stuff for the dancers to do what they do around the Pole in Strip Clubs, who knows.... ;-)

These days they play this kind of stuff in general Rock Clubs in London, where Pole-Dancing and Cage-Dancing is still considerably a big scene since they started doing it in regular Rock Clubs.~S

  • @Satanya6 That's funny you said that because I was going to take it into my pole dancing class to dance to. LOL

  • @fifimsp

Maybe it is one of those coincidences one should interpret it as a sign, and act one it..... !!! ;-)

Either way, enjoy your classes and don't be put off by the bruises you might get on your legs in the beginning... they are only bits of black & purple that will go away in a few weeks, but the beauty of Pole-Dancing is something you will never forget, like riding a bike.

    .... I

  • @fifimsp

Once you get to the stage where you can control the Pole with your legs, up-side down, you will thank, you never let the initial bruises put you off and make you drop out...

Like many other Dances or Martial - Arts..... lots of people will start the course... very few will complete... it is all in the talent & passion... you either have them both, or you don't .... :-)

I'd stick to take CD to classes anyway though... ;-)

    ~S x

  • @Satanya6 I've been doing it for over 2 years. And yes, I've had lots of bruises. LOL.

  • @fifimsp

Yup, indeed, it takes time. Lots of girls think that Pole-Dancing is easy, but to me personally, it is not Pole-Dancing, until you can do the twist hanging upside down on pole , just from your legs during the dance.... there's a name for this specific move I speak of, but English being not my first language, and having learned to do it before I learned to speak English, I do not know it... What's this move called, do you know it by any chance? :P

    ~S x

  • @Satanya6 Really. I completely disagree. I think all the tricks and stuff are pure details. We have a 50 year old woman in our studio who can do only like 2 turns, however, is one of everybody's favorite dancers, because she dances. I think it's more important to just dance and do it gracefully than throw out a lot of tricks. The tricks should be accents, not the whole show. To me, nothing more boring than watching a pole dancer who does nothing but trick after trick.

  • @fifimsp

Then it is not Pole-Dancing, it is just "Table-Dancing", isn't it?

Sure you can do one move and win a crowd of fans, but in my opinion, Pole-Dancing, by definition, is the whole nine yards.... anything else that does not require Pole-Dancing technique, is just called Table-Dancing.... and indeed, you can be a jaw-dropper Table-Dancer, with no Pole-Dancing techniques applied... but they are just different types of Dances, and surely you can mix them too, but you know what I'm saying' ~S

  • John Sykes!

  • It's really silly to say that Whitesnake "ripped off" Zep... Whitesnake grew out of the ashes of Deep Purple, who were contemporaries of Zep... Coverdale and Plant literally came out of the same mold...

  • Whitesnake was a metal band that loved the blues. that is what made them great. just my opinion

  • hmm. well, david coverdale has had a ton of guitar players better than JP.

  • My God - could they have more blatantly ripped off Led Zeppelin??

  • @lifternate

You must be talking about Robert Plant and David Coverdale's similar mullet only, you can't be talking about their sound.

Led Zeppelin influenced many bands, but they were merely an influence to Whitesnake. A band cannot help but to expose in their own compositions their influences, because the bands that influenced them, are the bands who created the songs they would practice, whilst learning how to play instruments themselves,

    ...

  • Led Zeppelin has that 60s Psychedelic back-ground that influenced their own composition, which is a style that Whitesnake never even dabbled with, in their own compositions.

Robert Plant and David Coverdale are probably even pals, to this day.

Which Led Zeppelin song do you think Whitesnake is ripping off of them, in "Slow & Easy"?

    ~S

  • @Satanya6: uuuuh ..... O.K.

  • @Satanya6 Led Zeppelin were the first big ripoffs.. I didn't care then and i don't care now.. Zep Is and always will be the best band ever.. With that said.. Plant And Coverdale never had a mullet they just had long hair..

  • @lifternate Noooooo Waaaaay is this a rip off of Zep! As Satanya6 says, influenced by Zep? Of course.. I'M influenced by Zep and i'm not even a musician! haha I think you may be refering to Coverdale's VOICE and that is not a rip off...it's his voice. Yes I would agree Coverdale could have pulled off some amazing Zep covers based on voice alone..and im sure he is aware of that but he has chosen to stick to his own thing. Whitesnake is/was an AMAZING group but lets face it...there was only 1 Zep!

  • @lifternate btw they use a bow on the electric guitar in 'Still of the night' and that is a very "Page'ish" thing to do, but hardly a rip off! Yes, Jimmy Page did it 30yrs ago but so have many others! They also use a slide bar on their guitar at the begining of this song..so has Hendrix, Page, Eddie Van Halen, Thorogood... and about half a million Blues musicians!

  • @lifternate

cum on, Led Zeppelin is an amazing band. but regardless the fact that Led Zeppeling stealed a huge amount of old 50's blues songs.

just cause both Whitesnake and Led Zep are british does not means that they are copies

  • I love John Sykes but the what I like best is that he was the best guitarist ever for Whitesnake, but only the 4th best ever for Thin Lizzy!! Moore, Gorham, and Robertson were all beter than him. I think this drove him to write such good songs with WS.

  • I like the song

  • Led Zeppelin influence???? lol

  • sheesh i just love this song...take it down slow and easy hell yeah

  • just shut the fuck up and listen

  • @Jorryhearts

    @Jorryhearts

Of course you should, sweety. That is a great song. On this line of genre, I'd suggest songs by Motley Crue, Badlands, L.A. Guns, Deep Purple, AC/DC, Van Halen, Scorpions (they have a fantastic song out, entitled "The Zoo", which has a similar Slow & Easy beat to it, well worth adding to your B-Day party song-list as well...)

    Happy B-Day!! Rock N' Roll!! :-)

    ~S x

  • @Satanya6 For sure man. Also dont forget about Van Hallen. They rule!

  • @Satanya6 nice to see someone plugging "a place we call the zoo" :)

  • @Satanya6 u forgot guns n roses :)

  • @Satanya6 you forgot Thunder - Dirty Love they had a sleaze sound that was perfect

  • @Jorryhearts For sure man.... Congrats!!!

  • @hookseeker Thanks, but im a chick, haha

  • @Jorryhearts I think you should, but your parents will probably freak out when they hear the lyrics.

  • @Jorryhearts dude if you're 13 years old in 2011 listening to this music then MAD PROPS BRO!

  • @cryanconway Thanks, but ima girl, haha (:

  • @HalalKafir Well well at least you admit i was first choice to pick on...why i dont have a clue to your arrogance on decisions...anyways..the term "hair band or hair metal" as Wikipedia puts it as a term from the late 70s early 80s....wait you said it didnt exist in 84....it was a genre term used for the music back then..long hair or short it didnt matter...and what the fuck does warrant, poison and mtv have to do with the original argument we are discussing ?....Hard British Blues Rock huh ?

  • @HalalKafir Holy rats ass....just read your YT home page....dude you got some serious problems with your views on life and music....your on ignore permanently...dont bother replying cause ill never see it...

  • @MrKolt2112 OH,,,,,FUCK YEA WE DID!!!!!!!!!!!! THE CLASS OF 1986 SAYS,,THIS TUNE,,THIS ALBUM,,,IT JUST FUCKING KICKED MAXIMUM ASS!!! • I remember always making love to my ex- boyfriend to this song

  • Best WS song, period!

  • cozy powell kicks ass

  • There was a interview of Robet Plant. Plant said only Singer he is afrid of is David Coverdale.

  • @71farhan REALLY???do u remember the dust up between plant in the late 80s-early 90s??PLANT kind of called coverdale a cheap copy of him.DAVE said he was really hurt and that any relationship between them was obviously over.PLANT later said he was very sorry for his comments.i was watching page coverdale vids from japan i think from 93.just amazing page plays the whitesnake stuff perfectly.iv always thought plant finally agreed to reunite with page because of page/cover.I LOVE EM BOTH

  • @timpenfield5 I have a rock encylopidia im which this was written. But i never heard Plant calling coverdale his cheap copy. Any way i will cheack it out.

  • @71farhan i dont remember plants exact words but i do remember coverdale calling plants comments VENOMOUS and hurtful.it was kind of funny to here coverdale sound so hurt.Didnt think Big DAVE could be hurt by anything.

  • best song they ever done IMOP.

  • If this song aint a copy of Led Zep's feel and style, then I don't know WHAT is....

I do really like the tune though....!

  • Real men watch in 240p

  • This is amazing!

  • If Robert Plant was a rapper, what would David Coverdale have sounded-like?

  • @marvchomer probably more like Paul Rodgers. lol. But what if Terry Reid (1st choice for vocals in Led Zep, great guitarist) became a rapper, what would Robert Plant have sounded-like?

  • ISAW WET WILLY LAST WEEKEND JIMMIE HALL IS 62 AND SETS HIS OWN EQUITMENT HAD JUST DROVE 550 MILES.DID A 2 AND A HALF HOUR SHOW AND GAVE ME WITHAN8X10 SIGNED.FIRST CONCERT I HAD SEENIN MANNYYEARS

  • Wait a sec. Was that John Sykes ?

  • @upnaway27 Yes indeed. The one and only.

  • as much as I love this tune, STILL OF THE NIGHT is still their #1 tune in my opinion.

I think STILL OF THE NIGHT is the 80's version of Led Zepp's song Kashmir.

  • WHITESNAKE 4 EVER!!!!!

  • Thanks for setting me strait

  • Skeptic, what do you mean by " Cock Rock"?

  • @Freyja1133 -Big Hair Metal (ie Metal after the NWOBHM) was also known as Cock Rock as the guys strutted about in very tight lycra like roosters on stage. I was playing in a metal band back in those days.

  • @skepticalvision in Whitesnake's case..only lp put david coverdale& thte guys in that arena.. Whitesnake...

What i asked is could Whitesnake be brought into power metal ?

    I meant these days

  • Could WhiteSnake be brought Into Power Metal,or Not?

  • @Freyja1133 Cock Rock yes, Power Metal no as their chord patterns and song structures aren't really up to metal standards as set by the likes of Priest and Saxon etc.
