@BeingBroham actually there was nothing from action essentials used in this clip. It hadn't yet come out. I was using stock elements (all SD) from Detonation Films. I can't remember which ones (a hdd crash has taken the project from me), so unfortunately I can't give you any pointers here. A good combination of a few elements from AE2 should do the job though.

very good explosions but the camera movement was a bit jumpy. especialy when u were shooting at each other.

@iJuStEriC its true! The lame muzzle flashes were bash comps in FCP that never got finished (hard drive failure).... am proud of the explosions though so thanks! :)

It's part of an old leaf blower that was found on the side of the road. No extra modifications were done on it for this lil goof off, but its had a bit of design work done to it since.

i used to be really addicted to the game, so i recognized it immediately. You should get a good story line and do some more. And I'm also using your idea of using dod sound effects for gun shots and explosions in my videos in the future too :P.

All of these action things are usually tests we're doing for a script of some kind. Have one called 'The Runner' that is going to shoot soon! In the meantime, I do have some actual short films posted that have storylines to check out ;)

the explosion is a single explosion element mixed in with about 4-6 smoke puff elements and lil interactive lighting. The rocket launcher is a lil harder as it was just under a dozen different dirt puff/explosion/smoke charge elements all mixed in together.

It was hilarious shooting it. We had no idea how any of this was going to connect. Just knew we wanted: shot of gun firing etc. The rocket launcher and the guy jumping over the hedge were kinda improvised and later worked in. Still wish my HDD hadn't crashed and taken the project with it, incomplete! :(

hahaha, thanks! :) rocket launcher's explosion was about 15 different dust/dirt/explosion elements all tied in together. since that moment i haven't been afraid of going a lil crazy!
