  • Let me see, the American ending never fails to make me cry and now the Japanese version is even sadder!! :'(

  • The music ruined it

  • @Czechforce the music at the end credits really did not fit, but you see this film was made in the 80's and japanese music back then sounded similarly to that...

  • @Czechforce Very 80s music at the end! that's the friggin 80s for you.

  • Dang, this version is downright depressing. No one even looks at him laying there in the snow :(

  • @zetoxicdecay They were probably so used to seeing him there everyday that they assumed he was sleeping. I know the people really loved and respected him, honoring his memory with his statue. This movie and the American version both take my breath away. I love how his owner comes back to take him to heaven with him. GOD Bless them both!!! People should be this loyal and loving to each other.

  • this has a sadder ending than the american version :"((

  • @pointmeout yeah, this ending is truly epic, the music, the cherry blossom scene and as hachiko jumps to his master.
