Don't worry, its not in any pain as its dead. Its just like cutting the head off a chicken, it dies but its still so fresh the brain fires off and causes reflexes like this.

@Heksu77 1: it helps to not respond to anything over 2 months old. 2: Because its DEAD! Its a fish, with one brain, that's in the head, if you sever the head from the body it kills the creature. Same as a snake, if you sever the head the snake's head and body will continue to move (the head won't if the brain has been severely damaged).

in ripleys believ it or not a chicken live for six monthes without his head, they put food down his throat hole to feed him but one day they gave him a bigger piece of food and he choked and died. that quite a while to go just on nerves...
