  • I don't understand playing like this, the lyricism is gone, its just a bunch of jumbled up notes, if you want lyric value go listen to John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Sydney Bechet, and of course Charlie Parker. She has moments of great lyricism but I don't particularly the beginning. I am not saying that I am better than her, I am just saying. That there is a line between music and just "elevator" music. Not sure where she is. She plays with soul, but could still learn from the greats.

  • @SuperTrumpet100 Much respect to you, but I don't see how you can make such a judgement. This clip only shows the apex of her solo and certainly is not a great measure of the trajectory of her solo. "Jumbled up notes"? Listen harder, man...
