@Stunr99 Tea partiers must be on LSD they always are screaming at something whether or not it is true. Loud mouths. Empty barrels make the most noise, so therefore, the tea partiers should listen and come to gether with others and find solutions instead of yelling out insults.
Progressive have everyone's best interest at heart. The problem is that they think THEY know what is best for everyone at the same time. Our country was made up of people who CAME here to fend for themselves and that is what made us strong. The Soviet system was made of people who worked for their government and lived off their government. That is why they fell.
@PampersPete No, 8 years of bad policy and rhetoric instead of trying to find solutions is what fucked this country up. What's wrong with these people trying to talk amongst themselves and find solutions?
Why does that threaten you so much that you have to say "fuck the coffee party?"
@jensen1901 What in the hell would you do if you even found a solution? The government don't give two fucks what you and I think. My problem with Coffee Partiers is the fact that they have 0 backbone just like the Democrats. I'm a registered Independent who cares about one thing and one thing only-THE CONSTITUTION and eradicating Liberals before they turn this country into the United States of Europe!
@jensen1901 You say the Dems have backbone? Ok. Let's test your "knowledge" of Constitutional law...Is Social Security illegal just like this recently passed Health Insurance Reform bill is illegal? YES and YES!!! Look at Article V and Amendment X. You may also want to brush up on your knowledge of the enactment of Social Security regarding FDR.
@PampersPete The Supreme Court ruled that Social Security was Constitutional in 1939. Voting 7-2, the Supreme Court found Social Security constitutional under law via citing three different precedents. That is why it has been legal since then and unchallenged for 40 + years.
@PampersPete Just because you read that on "Talking Points for Idiots" doesn't make it true. I doubt that you have ever read either Amendment in full, much less the case law that construes them. You ain't gettin' the real scoop from Glenn Beck.
@sageofsage First off, I have read it in full and I understand it. Second, I'm a registered Independent. I think you looky fuckin' Liberals are just as batshit crazy as the fuckin' hypocritical Conservatives. You both deserve each other.
@sageofsage Yeah. Independent. As in I have a mind of my own and don't have to sit around with other nuerotic Liberals making gay signs to get my point out. That also applies to the retarded TEA partiers as well.
The whole point of these meetings is to have civil intelligent discussions about issues that are important to all of us. Everyone is welcome, and every opinion is respected. This is not the anti-tea party, in fact tea party members are welcome! If you feel so strongly you should come out. Go to the website, find a meeting in your area and join the discussion.
Was that woman insane! It be great to be like France with free health care. Do any of these rocket scientists know what taxes are? Every single entitlement program runs a deficit, so lets just start a new 1 trillion dollar one?
That first guy admitted it! He want's Government to do more. Hell No Government is the problem! With what their saying, this is nothing but a pro Obama group trying to split the vote in Nov. These people need to switch to decafe or alcohol!
Yes, they are very civil and respecful. It is a great way to usher in socialism, don't you think? We now have 48% of America under government control. Just a little further to go! People should just get out of the way so Obama can complete the task on total government take over!
i think this is good. a party founded to promote democracy and encourage citizen's to engage their government. I definitely think republican and democratic parties have become dinosaurs of a bygone era. america has grown much more dynamic than the old warring parties could ever hope to understand.
Disturbing Statement: "...instead of strategically obstructing any form of progress."
Disturbing Statement: "...we object to obstructionism, and extreme political tactics that are, I think, fear-based, not reality-based, and in many ways just deliberate misinformation."
(1) They were a facebook page with a few thousand fans 'till the media gave them millions in free publicity
(2) For all the boilerplate about wanting "dialog", all they really seem to want to do is vilify those who dissent from the Obama party line. For confirmation, simply read the comments about "teabaggers" &ct.
Dear Aprilmax, You obtoos piece of Flotsum ! You are like the not so many that think just because you know the words "The Constitution" that you can call anyone that see's through your misunderstandings of that document, a Socialist. You are seen as a "Libertarian"; someone who believe's economics outways Democracy. The Constitution is BASED on it's Preamble.
Did you even watch any of the videos that I posted? Or are you fixated on the dribble that Annabel Parks says? She is in a Fairy Tale that will never happen.
American can not afford this Health Care plan. It will not be like private insurance. It will be ratiioned.
Have you seen Dr Emanuel's Complete Live. Do you even know who Dr Emanuel is?
And Yet, everything you cry about has NOTHING to do with the Preamble and AT LEAST ignores the words " Domestic tranquility, promote the general welfare " and the entire "Intention" of the text.
And Yet, everything you cry about has NOTHING to do with the Preamble and AT LEAST ignores the words " Domestic tranquility, promote the general welfare " and the entire "Intention" of the text.
Dealmaking for Obambicare votes can involve matters either inside or outside the bill. Unveiling of the reconciliation bill today closes the window on the former, but not before one last outrage was performed:
New element, included in the plan issued on Thursday, would give a specific right to the Bank of N Dakota to issue federally subsidized student loans, meaning that it would be the only lender remaining outside of the Education Departments direct-lending system.
"Hi, I'm a kool-aid drinking lemming and I want to be part of the Cawfee Party because frankly, I choose not to think for myself. I don't want to have to work for anything ever again, responsibility is overrated, I like killing innocent unborn children and slavery under a marxist dictatorship run by Obamao sounds pretty darn good to me. Afterall, it takes a village to raise an idiot...I was raised in a village..."
Jensen1901...Yet you think the tea party movement has no merit although it has many thousands more member and supporters. who is partisan? You got the first part right though.
Astroturf! The "coffee party" is merely another arm of the Democrat "rent a mob" octopus. See how they all parot the talking points and false claims about "status quo" and anyone who opposes Obama must be a hate-filled racist? It's pathetic.
incidentally, the amount of love shown for "the government" here is astounding. would these folks have felt the same when bush was in power? remember that the pendulum always swings - a good argument for reducing the power of the overweening State.
"status quo" - defined by whom? "progress" - according to whom? "obstructionism of the obama government" - huh? where was the coffee party amid all the leftist fury against bush and "obstruction" of his various ideas, like privatizing social security? come on - be honest leftists. just before 2 mins: "we came into power" - oh did "we?" pro government medicine, france ... looks like we've not even the pretensions of being non-left here. the head office had better fix this honest video. :)
It seems like this video is getting vote bot-ed by the Tea Baggers. Alternatively, there might simply be a large number of self loathing, stupid, and hate filled people in the U.S. I hope that it's the former, but fear that it's the latter.
These people are simply trying to have an honest discourse. They are Americans. Do not deny them their right to seek solutions by simply jumping to bizarre conclusions based on nothing but your shallow partisan fuckery.
The political "conversation" has deteriorated into a devisive battle of two grandstanding parties. The politicians have put themselves above the people that voted for them. And they have lost their connection with financial responsibility.
Americans need to elect politicians that agree with the foregoing statements, and committed to real change, in moving back to representing the voters responsibly in the way that the framers of the constitution intended them to act.
"We are a grassroots movement with high quality camera equipment, the ability to travel all over the country to film testimonials, repeat obviously rehearsed monologues and sharp graphics right out of the box."
I wish there were none of those things as well, but it will never happen. It's human nature. People disagree passionately over certain issues anbd when they do, they often question the motives and decency of those with whom they disagree.
And I think one of the most brilliant observations about one the most fundamental differences between liberals and conservatives was made by Thomas Sowell: Liberals believe in solutions. Conservatives believe in trade-offs. I agree with the latter.
On March 3, writing for Prison Planet, Paul Joseph Watson revealed that the Coffee Party USAs founder is an Obama campaign operative. Park campaigned for Obama in 2008 and was one of the organizers and operators of the influential United for Obama video channel at YouTube, writes Watson. She made over twenty promotional videos for the Obama campaign that drew tens of thousands of views.
If he really know how to come out of the Washington elite mindset, then our country need him. Otherwise, there would be no real change for this country. I do hope he really know how to organize some Coffee Parties like these groups of civilize people.
Keep drinking that Kool-Aid. Congressman Ron Paul warns that the movement his supporters founded nearly three years ago has been infiltrated and overtaken by neo-cons, following the de facto election of Sarah Palin as the leader of the nationwide tea party movement.
Brother wake up! Both parties fit that description. You want real change? Then wipe the slate clean and start over from scratch. The cancer is everywhere in Washington D.C. From special interests groups to lobbyist pushing their own agenda instead of the people's will. Both the Dem's and Rep's have been bought and sold by corporate greed. Just how many promises has President Obama kept? Your out in left field if you think the problem is only a Republican one.

You realize that in the previous election, Wall Street donated more to the Democrats than Republicans, right? I would argue that big businesses favor more government interevention in the economy, because they have more power to lobby ensuring that any legislation ends up benefiting them at the expense of their weaker competitors. Businesses don't like competition. They don't want a pure free-market system. Neither do dems. Seems they make a pretty good match.

What part of economics do you not understand. America is not just in Debt. America will not survive the the tummults of the Developed world. The Developed world has been satiating AMERICA's wanton lust for things ON CREDIT!!! ITS OVER NOW!!! You will see Austerity the likes of which will make the Great Depression look like Beerfest. You stupid docile Americans will REVOLT when your children do not have bread to eat. Your Government will then use the Machine Guns to MOW YOU ALL DOWN!!!!!!!
Barack Obama is the problem. He is basically the re manifestation of George Bush. He is a made for TV PR Campaign DOUBLE TRIPPLE WITH FUCKING CHEESE SPECIAL!!! JESUS H CHRIST. Will somebody just look up Edward Bernaise!?!?!?! He is the father of Modern Public Relations. WAKE UP FROM YOUR McDonalds / Starbucks Induced COMMA!!!
Wilowhisp "Why is that so different than any of the other socially supported programs"
It's different because for the first time in our history the Fed Gov is mandating every American must purchase a product from a private company. (With penalties)
Once this precedent is set it will be used to further extend the governments reach into my life. Its how FDR got us started down this path and this is a continuation.
But hey thats all history right. Who cares about history these days?
Ive heard 40 cents out of every dollar spent by the Fed Gov is borrowed. There are respected people (Conrad, Gregg and David Walker) saying America is approaching the point where our debt payment will exceed all government spending.
In the interest of honest debate go watch IOUSA (30 minute version on youtube)
The ugly truth according to them is taxes MUST be raised AND spending MUST be cut.
What I heard here is we all deserve Federal Health care. For the life of me I dont understand.

Radical liberals are willing to focus 99% of their resources solving 1% of the problem. I'm sure many are itching to say... "Tell the homeless guy on the street with cancer that he's only 1% of the problem." Well, unfortunately, he is. I'd hate to be in his situation, but I would rather see the country prosper for the greater good, than fail miserably like the USSR did with "good intentions".
The Census estimated that there were 49.3 million American uninsured in 2009, up from 46.4 million in 2008. That's an enormous leap in one year (much faster than population growth).
"Radical liberals" see this disturbing trend. Even though it may not be an enormous problem now, it is growing very rapidly.
Gregg? Please!! Gregg is a beholden fool who takes his marching orders from no one but Wall Street and Health care lobbyists. He doesn't even think for himself as he goes out there and reads McConnell's script.
Our debt wasn't a concern when it was Reagan/Bush/Bush, but all of a sudden it is? Have you not read the latest CBO report? Read it then come back to me an talk about this plan increasing debt.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Spare me the Democratic Party talking points, IE guilting people over what they did or did not do in the past.
I have read all of the CBO health care related reports I can find. Including the ones stating ten year projections are novel, unreliable, contingent on the politicians actually making the cuts in the bill(s) and only address the bill presented to them.
OUR unfunded entitlement liabilities amount to 53 Trillion dollars. The health care bill just adds to the insanity.
Seems like this is a progressive party that wants their country to move forward. while the tea party is threatened by their own country and hate their own country.

"I want to be a part of the Coffee Party because I'm too stupid to be responsible for my own well-being. I want the government to tell me what I can eat, what health care I should receive, and make all of the other decisions for me that have traditionally been left for individual adults to decide for themselves."
"I want to be ruled by oligarchs who pretend that they care about me, because I refuse to mature as my parents did. I want to remain a child of the state until I die."
ThadiusSLove, no, people want to be a part of the Coffee Party because they can't think for themselves and they want everyone to agree on things and individually stand for nothing. It's a step closer to a sheep-like society. There is no point in reducing state and local politics to a group of lemmings.
@MrAnonymous2012 Why do you call Obama a totalitarian? Is it because he's attempting to reform health care so all Americans get access? Why is that so different than any of the other socially supported programs that you take advantage of every day? Do you chastise your mail man for being part of the fascist machine? and do you curse the roads you drive to work on for being built by the man? Wake up and smell the progress because your swimming in it and take every bit of it for granted.
As I wrote earlier, one of our biggest patriots saw the need for society to take care of one another:
We have that flaming "socialist" Ben Franklin to thank for this!! He took those "capitalists" to the cleaners with his flaming "socialist" ideas like the Public Library, Post Office, Fire Department, Pennsylvania Militia, and the Pennsylvania Hospital, the first hospital established in the US.
part 2: ...even put a "socialist" seal on the hospital, the phrase "Take Care of Him and I will repay Thee" is used on it. Helping out your fellow man when you have the means... totally "socialist" behavior. I wnded up getting ripped apart, cursed at, handed the Franjklin quote used dailoy by Tea Partiers (used completely out of context), called lazy, and so on. Yet these people use the Federal Highway System, bridges, sewer system, Police/Fire/Ambulance, etc, everyday....
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Everything you mention is paid for by local taxes. Not by the federal government. Why is it so hard for liberals to understand the difference between local community services paid by tax, and socialist federal subsidies???
Hello? Federal Highway System - Dwight D Eisenhower? Hop on it tonight and feel the commie ride...or actually Eisenhower was inspired to create it by what he saw in Nazi Germany when he encountered the Autobahn. Also, the Federal Government supplements states with tax money to pay for ALL the programs listed...you can look that one up (Google).
...and by the looks of any rally shown on Fox, the majority are of Medicare/Social Security age. Tell me they are refusing those programs! Now let's see how many times you and I get inane quotes and cursed out again.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Not sure what rallys you're watching... but I just turned 31 and most of my friends who were there with me were within 2 years of my age (either younger or older). I saw some teenagers, people in their late 20s... I actually saw very few old people. I live in Broward County in Florida. Is it possible that maybe not all "Democrats" supported the idea of full-blown socialism as you do? Don't be SHOCKED in November when 30-40% of Democrat voters oust their own party members and become "Independent"
Any time it's been on FOX....majority are 60+ , easy to see as black an white.
...and you better go tell all those retirees in Broward County that they can no longer accept Social Security or Medicare as those are socalist programs!! Fend for yourselves, people!!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
"Access"? Your use of the word access makes it sound like something that's being locked behind closed doors that everyone has a right to. What next, "access" to affordable housing (we saw how that worked out) and "access" to environmentally friendly cars (we saw how that worked out too). How many more segments of society do the liberals want to destroy? Name a single institution that Democrats have created that's been sucessful. Seriously... think about that for a few minutes.
Here's just some of what GWB and his cronies left us: * An ideologically divided country to the point that America was really two countries * Two wars; one that was mishandled from the start, the other that was unnecessary and immoral * The worst economic crisis since the depression * America 's standing in the world at the lowest point in history * A country that had been misled into accepting the use of torture of prisoners of war
Your little rant about Democrats and successes...blah blah blah. Hmm, that's funny, the last depression was brought to a close by a Democrat. Getting this country moving and working again instead of laying around in Hoovervilles with no hope - Democrat. Giving GWB a surplus after Reagan and Bush I increased the deficit EXPNENTIALLY - Democrat. Someday you'll take the Republican blinders off and realize these people have NEVER worked for you, just their corporate masters.
Hold on now, you're out of your mind if you think Bill Clinton and Barack Obama are of the same ilk... i's very obvious to me that all this is to you is about which team ins. Democrat VS Republican. You clearly are unable to look past a name.
You asked for Democratic successes, I gave you some. I never said Clinton and Obama were the same. Obama is doing what needs to be done to right the corruption that has been infusing incredible wealth into the hands of the insurance industry and costing our country a lot of money. A TON of money...but Beck didn't diagram that for you on his blackboard so you wouldn't know anything about that.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
No I didn't, I asked for examples of socialism that were successful. You really seem to be stuck in the mindset that everything is Republican VS Democrat. You're stuck in the 80s. I think Clinton did an excellent job with balancing the budget and allowing technology infrastructure to succeed. Again, what does ANY of this have to do with Obama and socialized medicine? We didn't want it then, and we don't want it now. WHAT IS YOUR POINT!!!???
Exactly what you said ' - "Name a single institution that Democrats have created that's been successful."
You really like to play the twist game. Destined for politics?
You generalize to easily - must be the lack of deep thought you routinely show yourself incapable of.
Sorry to take your Beck points and laugh, but the polls have shown people are ready and want reform. That's my point. We as a society need to do the right thing and help our countrymen as a whole and it WILL reduce our debt.
How old are you? 31? It took me about 10-11 more years before of being a "staunch" conservative before I realized that I was sold nothing but falsehoods - "voodoo economics" is exactly that. This country has collapsed since '81, not dawned as the commercials proclaimed. As much as I hated the guy, the only bright spot since '81 was Clinton's economic policy....but you want to elect these thieves back in office.
Wow, so giving people access to health care is "pool our money for everything". Tell you what, you're right. I'm going to go out and kick to the curb any poor person I see, because gosh darn it, poverty should be punished. Then I'll feel all good about myself and think like you, because you know, I'm a retired O-4 who worked hard all his life- two masters degrees in engineering and a Doctorate in Information Technology. What was I thinking wanting to help out the disadvantaged and their health?

@PampersPete No, 8 years of bad policy and rhetoric instead of trying to find solutions is what fucked this country up. What's wrong with these people trying to talk amongst themselves and find solutions?
Why does that threaten you so much that you have to say "fuck the coffee party?"
jensen1901 1 year ago 2
@jensen1901 What in the hell would you do if you even found a solution? The government don't give two fucks what you and I think. My problem with Coffee Partiers is the fact that they have 0 backbone just like the Democrats. I'm a registered Independent who cares about one thing and one thing only-THE CONSTITUTION and eradicating Liberals before they turn this country into the United States of Europe!
PampersPete 1 year ago
@PampersPete I'd say the Dems have backbone...they just passed healthcare, after all.
Just because the Dems don't shout all the time or use hyperbole doesn't mean they lack backbone.
The Dems and liberals love the Constitution as much as the Tea Party. I love the Constitution and know it well, and I am a liberal.
I like Ron Paul, but I also like Grayson. Look beyond party and look for the Reps that can get the most done for the people over the corporations.
All the best.
jensen1901 1 year ago
@jensen1901 You say the Dems have backbone? Ok. Let's test your "knowledge" of Constitutional law...Is Social Security illegal just like this recently passed Health Insurance Reform bill is illegal? YES and YES!!! Look at Article V and Amendment X. You may also want to brush up on your knowledge of the enactment of Social Security regarding FDR.
PampersPete 1 year ago
@PampersPete The Supreme Court ruled that Social Security was Constitutional in 1939. Voting 7-2, the Supreme Court found Social Security constitutional under law via citing three different precedents. That is why it has been legal since then and unchallenged for 40 + years.
jensen1901 1 year ago
@jensen1901 It'll be re-challenged within the next two years.
PampersPete 1 year ago
@PampersPete Just because you read that on "Talking Points for Idiots" doesn't make it true. I doubt that you have ever read either Amendment in full, much less the case law that construes them. You ain't gettin' the real scoop from Glenn Beck.

New element, included in the plan issued on Thursday, would give a specific right to the Bank of N Dakota to issue federally subsidized student loans, meaning that it would be the only lender remaining outside of the Education Departments direct-lending system.

1% of the problem???
The Census estimated that there were 49.3 million American uninsured in 2009, up from 46.4 million in 2008. That's an enormous leap in one year (much faster than population growth).

So what you're saying is we all need to pool our money for everything, and success should be punished and poverty rewarded? Simple as that?
Todd82TA 1 year ago
Wow, so giving people access to health care is "pool our money for everything". Tell you what, you're right. I'm going to go out and kick to the curb any poor person I see, because gosh darn it, poverty should be punished. Then I'll feel all good about myself and think like you, because you know, I'm a retired O-4 who worked hard all his life- two masters degrees in engineering and a Doctorate in Information Technology. What was I thinking wanting to help out the disadvantaged and their health?
