Hey i do everything step by step . It works fine but at next day when i wanted to play the same error happen i tried again but it doesnt work anymore for me ;/ Any ideas ??

weird, i could open it with notepad,but now i can't without gettting encryption and now it opens with the .ini editor in text.. lol reverse engineering ? wtf happened here ?,

And it wasn't due to Admin rights LOL, i'm the admin.. for some reason i couldn't open it in the Bulletstorm directory but,but it was possible on my desktop.

And the game just sorta crashed LOL.. god gotta love Epic for these minor screw ups :P

and i pasted that into the ini editor, and saved it, now it saved it to the .ini on my desktop,i took that file to the original C:/Programfiles/EA/Bulletstorm­/Engine/Config/BaseEngine directory and then it allowed me to overwrite it, maybe it's due to admin rights or w/e but i had to find another way because the ini editor still couldn't open it, so i went around that.

Maybe usefull to others too.. anyway thanks man ;)

;) thnx man i was wondering why it had these glitches, but i had to do your tutorial a little differently,first of i couldn't open it with your ini editor it wouldn't allow me, so i took a copy from that BaseEngine to my desktop while i opened up a text document with the lines prior to that and edited what you said,when i could open the one on my desktop it had the encryption like you said,so i deleted that in the ini editor and used the text in the text document retrieved before that,

my windows live dont work..i opened it and it told me to run the update and i do so then to close the game(which i cannoy find the EXIT butten or Escape ect...)

so i press F11/Alt ctrl delete to exit the game...then i go back to the game log in with the same accont and it tells me AGAIN to update my game and close the game after...and it just keeps repeating it self over and over again..can you help me?

Hi, i have a problem I installed bullet storm for pc, and i started play'in, and i have an annoying carecteristic, which is seeing how far in the graphics my pc can go, and stupidly I maxed out the anti-aliasing. When i restarted the game it was going slowly and no image only sound. I tried to unistall the game but when i installed, the graphic features stayed save and i cant delete them. @numb4z when your computer overheats it automatically shuts down to prevent your computers insides (hardware) over heating.if its a laptop leave space for the vents so the hot air can exit, if its a desktop i recommend you get a cooler, just try anything possible not to let your computer over heat and as long as your computer stays cool it will never shutdown, your welcome :)

I'm not blaming anyone here. Bulletstorm is just a bad PC port. I mean, it runs okay on the latest machines, but it spits in the face of a 2008 PC like mine. And my PC certainly isn't outdated; it runs Crysis 2 on the higher settings almost as smoothly as a greased pig on a water slide. It's just built for the more recent powerhouse-hardware, I guess. And then there's the scourge that is GFWL! ;)

Pity. There's such an amazing game wrapped up in these tech issues.

What the hell? My game's visuals were screwed, but workable before I tried this. I have no clue why, but after I edited the file and loaded the game, Bulletstorm turned from a game into a freakin' SLIDESHOW... of the crappiest looking shooter of the year! Textures fading away at 4-in-game metres, blur, static fog and lighting, characters looking like they were bathed in liquid shit, textures ripping to pieces, and all of this I can only see at 1 frame per minute! Ugh.

Do a memtest, check temps, reinstall graphics drivers, reset Bios/CMOS settings, and if absolutely worse comes to worse and you 120% sure your hardware is good and reinstall windows..

@shaushaurayray Re-install your display drivers. I suspect you are using an unstable ATi Catalyst. Also check your RAM sticks to be having any corruption. Run a CHKDSK too of the partition where u installed those games.

Hey uh things just went apeshit on me. So I did what you did and it worked normally and then I exited the game and started it up later and the graphics just went crazy. For example as I close in on characters they become grey and colorless and for example when I headshot someone big black square appears.

Was working normally before.Do I need to use this thing every time I start the game or...?

Open the Bulletstorm .ini file and change bUseMaxQualityMode=False to bUseMaxQualityMode=True. You can't edit the .ini file if you update Bulletstorm though.

i have some problem with the cutscenes and some parts in the gameplay. black squares start appearing in the cutscenes, which make the game look really bad. and for some reason those black squares also appear in some parts of the actual game, when i am playing. i used this fix but it didn't seem to work.

Black squares around guns and sometimes character's outlines in cutscenes, this happens to me with GeForce 260 GTX, the issue is WinXP based I found out on a forum. I guess it happens to a lot of people playing it in XP so they need to do a patch. In other words its not hardware based issue but an issue of the actual game coding. No one tests in XP anymore ;p

But XP still runs my games 30% faster than if i boot into Win7! DX10 adds no graphical advantage either in 99% of games.

Hey thanks for the video i did what you said and IT DID improve performance / quality overall BUT! i sometimes get some of the problems i did before... (game stutters, when i run up close to a wall it turns black, and when i get right infront of enemys or ishi himself the model texture will turn 16bit it looks like and gets ALOT less detail, almost turns the entire person in game into a tanish color as if it were 16bit. any suggestions? here is my specs. qx9650@ 4ghz, 4gigs ddr2 @ 1066, gtx580

I got Stuttering Problems, is what i think their Called, I play and it seems fine, then when i get.. maybe a few moments ahead, the screen freezes and moves back and forth a frame, while the Accual game is still live, gunfire and what not are still going on
